Have to say Tunsil's agent made a horrible decision allowing the kid to do a presser last night. You could tell Tunsil was still in a state of shock and really didn't know what he was saying or doing. He was completely unprepared for all the questions the press threw his way. He should never have been allowed to be put in that position with seemingly no talking points or advice in how to handle the situation. He looked like a deer in headlights and was done a huge disservice. I'm not even sure what exactly Tunsil confirmed or didn't confirm about Ole Miss paying him.

Still can't believe some Cowboys fans wanted him to join our OL. Sure Free needs to be replaced soon but Tunsil is not the kid to do it, hoping Chaz Green is though.

As an OSU fan, I can not deny how good this guy is - but that does not stop me from disliking him. I just can't stand him - I think he's too immature, needs to grow the hell up and stop thinking it's all about himself. So a classify this as a match made in heaven as I hate Dallas.

I think Jacksonville is going to get real good, real soon. We've seen some flashes when they are healthy. Bortles has a great set of receivers and now their defense is only improving. Ramsey will have immediate impact.

Typical response. Whether or nor he posted it, the fact is, he smoked it... so he deserved what he got.

The analysts had the same sentiment. Some liked him, others not as much. I liked Apple, and I think he'll be a great player. I don't think he'll be a playmaker like Richard Shermans/Patrick Peterson, but he should be real effective.

I like them going WR here, I just don't know much on Coleman. Cleveland has 11 other picks in this draft, there are plenty of steals to be made. I like Cook in the 2nd round, maybe Braxton Miller as a reach.

Was hoping one more Buckeye would go to tie Miami with 6 players selected in the first round. Damn.

I want them to stay in Oakland. Just natural. But Raiders have some of the most universal fan bases and can basically go anywhere. I would not mind if Vegas had a team. I'm a little torn on this. It does not seem that Oakland is responding to the Raiders threats of relocating. What ever happened with San Antonio?

OTHER THOUGHTS:
The Jets went Defensive again, so that makes one half of their time really freakin' good. I like Fitzpatrick a lot, and I wish the Jets would pay the man. But what is the deal with Bryce Petty? Why aren't they going with him?

My Lions!! Alright, solid pick I'm cool with Taylor Decker from Ohio State! I was hoping, more wishful thinking actually, to see them trade back into the 1st round and get a guy like Shaq Lawson.

Speaking of Buffalo... I was not a fan of Rex during his time with the Jets, mainly because of all the trash talk and what not. But the guy can do a decent job, and I like the way Buffalo is going.

Speaking of AFC East... New England has dominated so many years in this division, but I see resurgence from all other 3 teams. It's going to get interesting.

Arizona strikes: I think if any team can get a troubled player to focus, it's them. Nkemdiche will be a great player for them and will bolster there already really good defense.

Seattle: Why Germain Ifedi?? That was a high reach for someone that was supposed to go mid 2nd round.

Sorry, I wasn't online last night during the draft!

So New England has the 60th and 61st picks tonight. Is there any reason they couldn't go over their allotted 7 minutes for the 60th pick and just make both picks at the same time before the time expires for the 61st pick?

They cannot do that. Of course the NE fans would throw a riot for missing another pick, but the rules are pretty clear

What rule says you can't do that? If you don't get your pick in on time it allows the team with the next pick to jump them if they get their card in before the team with the earlier pick, as was the case where the Vikings didn't get their pick in on time in consecutive drafts, but in this case the Patriots also have the next pick.

You're right, I thought I knew the rule but I just looked it up and I was wrong. I guess, in your scenario, the Pats could do that.

Only if it's Fantasy Football!
Of course if were to happen, folks would immediately accuse NE of cheating and it would go to court.

Tunsil got screwed over yesterday. Is smoking weed a few years ago really a big deal? All these adults need to get off their high horses as if they never did anything wrong. I've smoked weed before and probably will in the future. Are you guys planning on kicking me off the forums for it? I doubt it. It's also the world we live in. You can't trust your buddies to keep things private anymore with social media making everything readily accessible. Athelrtes.in the past had it much easier when cell phones and social media wasnt around. As for taking money, well that's the NCAA being dinosaurs. Besides, he already got suspended for it. Why would seeing texts suddenly reopen a case or character issues when that's already been dealt with?

If it is not something you should do in the NCAA or NFL, then don't do it. They chose to pursue football, it's time to play by the rules.

Teams are also probably thinking about Josh Gordon, who can't pass any drug tests that are given to him. Why risk a draft pick and millions of dollars if the guy can't put a joint down?

Who's to say that Tunsil values weed over football? All the evidence points to the opposite. If your Johnny idiot, you value drinking more than football. For the average player though, they drink, but in moderation. Hell sports celebrations in alcohol soaked dressing rooms is standard issue. You seriously can't tell me that something becoming legal in more States each year (and likely in the coming years in Canada) can't be taken in moderation either without someone losing their minds over it.

That's up to him if he values weed over football, just don't expect much of a football career...

Legal or not, rules are rules by the employer and in football, it's well known that it is not acceptable. Just because alcohol is legal does not mean I can drink while on the job. Understand that these players are set to higher standards due to their exposure, community ambassadors, role models, etc. Many are also endorsed by third party companies who also frown upon the drug use.

I think almost everyone posting here agrees that what he did shouldn't even be illegal and most would agree it shouldn't be against league rules. That being said he did what he did and was dumb enough to allow someone to film it, even if it may have happened a few years ago. It's just horrible judgment. The rules are the rules regardless of whether or not we like them.

Had the video broken a few days ago I really think Tunsil would have not fallen as far. But with it leaked minutes before the draft his side had no time to explain anything and the teams had to make a snap judgment call on whether the video was enough to keep them from drafting him.

Let's be real though, friends record everything these days because it's so easy. There are very few real friends that you can count on not to especially when it comes to athletes.

Drug tests for recreational drugs pretty lenient though. Those who get caught are already in drug programs. For a good chunk of the league, they can casually smoke on off days without concern and they probably do. To single out Tunsil who never failed a test like countless others inuding likely several stars the league promotes simply isn't fair.
