DeAngelo Williams seemed to carry the ball pretty well for hem last season, IIRC. Of course he's a year older.

Even if he does play week 1 it might take him a couple weeks to get close to 100%. They're saying best case scenario the recovery time is 6-8 weeks, and some people believe 10 weeks is more realistic. Even if everything goes well and he returns by the start of the season he will still have missed all of camp and won't be in game shape, and the Texans will need him with early games against the Bears, Chiefs, and Patriots.

Former Vikings and Cardinals coach Dennis Green died. He was also the second African American head coach in NCAA football and the first African American football coach in the Big Ten.

Very sad, he always seemed like a good guy. I will keep his family and friends in my prayers today.

In today's social media driven climate, I'm just going to wait until definitive proof comes up either way.
Too many times we read about folks that are in for a quick payday and shake a celebrity down for money. Not saying that's the case here, but I will wait for official police statements.
It's a shame that it's even come to this, as it only further hurts all the many real domestic abuse cases that happen every day.

Kinda. Last year, Bell was busted for smoking blunts with Blount. This year he just missed a drug test. Why and how do you miss a drug test? It's pretty easy to assume the worst in people, but we don't know.

Sports Authority tried to auction off the naming rights for Mile High and there were no bids, so the deadline's been extended. Supposedly a legal marijuana dispensary had expressed interest in the past.
