The NFL is threatening to suspend Clay Matthews, Julius Peppers, James Harrison, and Mike Neal unless they agree to be interviewed by the league over the Al-Jazeera report that they took PEDs. The report had no evidence that the players took PEDs, and the person who said they took PEDs has recanted everything he said. Under the CBA players can't be disciplined for PED use unless they fail a drug test or if there is sufficient credible information showing the players took PEDs, and the Al-Jazeera report isn't even close to being credible, so the players submitted sworn statements to the league but the NFLPA has told the players not to talk to the league because the league doesn't have the right under the CBA to suspend them for the alleged PED use. However, recent court cases have proven the CBA allows the commissioner to do pretty much whatever he wants so he's threatening to suspend them for "conduct detrimental" to the NFL, so I would expect the players to cooperate pretty quickly or face a suspension.

The NFL seems to be stronger than it has ever been. When problems arise they are just under a bigger microscope now due to the times we live. Social media and technology has made everything so visible. But that doesn't mean the NFL is weakening, frankly I feel the opposite seems to be occurring. Yeah a 2nd round pick last year, but a big red flag with off the field issues.
Not sure I agree with Philly rolling the dice on a bunch of guys that have character issues. With the exception of Mike Vick, who went to extraordinary measures to rebuild his character and maintain a good reputation, I just don't see it working out all the time. Epsecially with guys barely out of college.
Furthermore, wtf is Philly doing getting rid of O-lineman?? With Johnson possibly getting a 10 game ban, even a scrub like Kelly is still a big body!

There were rumors flying around that DGB was going to be cut. Jon Robinson is trying to change the culture here. He's sending a message.

I still think it's too soon, but I understand it. He was behind Rishard Matthews, Tajae Sharpe, Kendall Wright, Andre Johnson, and even Justin Hunter on the depth chart. That's pretty terrible. Our WR corps is very weak. DGB should've been standing out, not disappearing.

DGB has a million dollar body and a 10 cent head. He's got the physical skills to be the best receiver in the league but doesn't seem to have the desire to put the work in and focus on football.

Oh come on, this has nothing to do with Rex. Dareus was suspended during the Marrone regime as well. I guess that is Rex's fault too, right?

Are the Bills going to have enough players to field a defense in week 1?

There was some good news about Bills linebacker Manny Lawson on Tuesday as he was activated from the non-football injury list, but there may be some bad to follow it.

Tim Graham of the Buffalo News reported that Lawson faces a possible one-game suspension and his colleague Jay Skurski adds that it would come under the league’s Personal Conduct Policy, although the appeals process is reportedly still in progress. Per Skurski, Lawson “was allegedly involved in a domestic situation last season.”

Dareus needs to get his priorities in order. This past offseason Terry Pegula flew out to his home and talked to him about becoming more of a leader to the team. It appears Dareus finds smoking some pot more important than his teammates, franchise, and the collective whole of Bills Mafia. I would like to say this is a wake up call that can change a man, because he is boxing himself into a really bad spot.

Yes. The allegations against the other players was part of that same report.
