Ouch!

Sounds like the Iggles have traded QB Sam Bradford to the Vikings, possibly for a 1st round pick.

Bradford has never been worth a 1st round pick, this is nuts.

Desperation. They think this year is their shot at a title.

They had much better teams in the 70s and late 90s.

I don't buy it. They aren't nearly as close as they think.

Eagles totally and completely took advantage of a desperate Vikings team. Damn.

I'm good with the Bradford trade. We're back on track for the Super Bowl now. #Skol

Default Sam Bradford to Minnesota Vikings

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...wo-draft-picks

As a Vikings fan, I love this move! I would have preferred to give up a 2nd and 4th but most likely, the Vikings pick will be in the 20's. Spielman realizes that the Vikings are built to win now and Hill may get the Vikings into the playoffs but won't take them very far.

Overpay to get the best QB available this late in the offseason. Much better than trying to run with Shaun Hill or trade for Sanchez, Kaepernick or Geno Smith.

To me it shows that this team knows it can win now and they don't want to leave the next year or two in the hands of Hill. No doubt, there will be many detractors, but off all the options out there I think the Vikings knew that trading for Bradford was the best fit even if the cost was high.

Hopefully he doesn't. But that's life in the NFL. Here's how I look at it. If the Vikes win 10 or more games the pick will be in the 20's....no big deal. Vick, Sanchez et al can't compare. Vikes backs against the wall. Hill and Stave would not win 10 games.

Fair enough. I just think it's a high price to pay for a quarterback with a lot of injuries in his career.

We have an NFL thread for things like this. The trading of a back up QB to an average team doesn't really need its own thread does it?

Minnesota is acting like they're a Super Bowl contender if they have a serviceable QB. They never were. WTF are they thinking? Bradford is worth no more than one 2nd round pick tops.

It's funny. People laughed when Chip Kelly said they had 1st round offers for Bradford last year. Fast forward a year and they get a 1st rounder plus another draft pick for him.

Of course, Eagles still have to pay his 11 million bonus.
