I'm really liking Phillys D this year. I'm hoping they can help carry what might be a mediocre-at best offense.
I'd really like to know what is going on with Lane Johnson. First his failed test results were wrongfully leaked a month ago. Been waiting on B test, and nary a peep with the season starting in less than week!

Maybe. I see it as a two horse race between the Giants and Redskins. Washington seems to have the more balanced team, but will also have a harder schedule. Should be interesting!

Niners TE Bruce Miller has been cut after a weird incident. Apparently he didn't believe hotel staff who told him no rooms were available so he tried to barge into an occupied room and assaulted an elderly man and the man's son.

I remember really liking Miller in his college years at UCF. Shame he's gone down this path. This morning the local UCF insiders were talking about Miller having suffered for over a year now from football related brain issues. It's no excuse for this incident but I hope the guy gets some sort of help, probably in prison.

49ers cut former UCF standout Bruce Miller after reports of arrest

The San Francisco 49ers released tight end Bruce Miller on Monday, just hours after he was arrested for assaulting two men.

Miller, a former UCF star, was charged with aggravated assault, elder abuse, threats and battery after an early-morning fight at a San Francisco hotel, according to the San Francisco Police Department. Miller was booked into county jail.

The police said they were called to the hotel at approximately 2:45 a.m. after Miller tried to enter a hotel room occupied by an elderly couple. The couple's 29-year-old son, staying in the next room, then told Miller he was at the wrong room. Miller, who was intoxicated at the time, attacked the son and his 70-year-old father, who came to his son's defense, police said.

The father was punched by Miller and both men were taken to the hospital for their injuries, police said.

It sounds like the Saints and Brees are close to a new deal. I'm intrigued to see the guaranteed money and how the contract will be structured.

It is kind of ridiculous. Instead these guys are expected to pop opioids for dealing with stuff like this, which can be highly addictive unlike pot.

He was suspended multiple times for marijuana in college at Miami too so at least he isnt having a problem transitioning to the NFL.
