Such a dumb idiotic idea, it makes no sense. If Europeans want to watch the NFL they can get a passport and plane ticket and come watch it here! Teams have 8 home games and taking away even one is a huge issue IMO. I don't see what the NFL can gain from this because placing a team in Europe would never work so this display of trying to show off the NFL is pointless over there. Worry about your fan base here Roger, Europeans do not pay the bills right now, us fans here in America do!

I don't see Man u or Liverpool taking a 5 home game block and playing it in the united states midway through their premier league. I'm fine with exhibition only, regular season games belong here in the united states not in Europe!

I imagine it's only a matter of time before London will host a Super Bowl. Goodell obviously wants the NFL to be a global game.

London is up for 2016 SB so there's a good chance it will win.

Where did you read that? I can't find that anywhere. All I see is Los Angeles as the favorite with Dallas also making a bid.

Anyway, I don't see London hosting a Super Bowl anytime soon. Moving the United States biggest(by far) yearly sporting event to a different country that cares about football as much as we care about soccer just doesn't make sense. It would drum up little extra interest overseas in the NFL and it's not like many people overseas who weren't already planning on going are willing to pay for those tickets anyway. I don't see any pros for moving the game there.

cowboys and eagles r very similar, they both blow games they should win

cowboys should've won vs jets and lions

eagles should've won vs 49ers, falcons, and bills

i think the boys will win the division

Its been wide common knowledge for some time, London was initially up for 2014 as well, I have heard this on various radio programs ESPN, Local radio etc.

LA will get it.

They want to bookend with SB I which was in LA.

Of course LA needs a team otherwise bets are off cause a city has to have an nfl team to host the super bowl.

If that was true, it would definitely show up on Google. Most articles talking about a London Super Bowl are 2+ years old. Some articles say that London wants the game, but so does every other city in the world. If what you mean by "London is up for 2016 SB", is that anyone is up for the 2016 SB at this point, then that might be true. I don't think they have even started the process yet, so it's not really a story. You could say any city with a capable stadium is up for it, but it seems like most people have Los Angeles as the favorite for the 50th anniversary in the city where the 1st Super Bowl was played.

Commissioner Roger Goodell said last week that the league is not considering playing its championship game in London. He shot down a BBC Sport report that "'substantive talks" were under way between the NFL and London officials.

"We have never looked at London or Mexico City as a site," he said.

The NFL again issued a denial Sunday that a Super Bowl outside the United States was being considered, this time via Twitter.

Brian McCarthy, the NFL's vice president of corporate communications, tweeted: "Re: story from UK. We are not pursuing idea of putting a Super Bowl in London or anywhere outside US. Reports last week/today inaccurate."

According to the Sunday Telegraph, the Super Bowl could be worth $521.1 million to the London economy, although the newspaper also quotes an unnamed NFL spokesman as saying: "The suggestions about London are only theoretical. There is no bid document."

a London SuperBowl would be troubling just for the timezones.

8pm game in London means what--2pm Eastern and 11am West Coast? What about Hawaii? LOL Either way too early for Superbowl Sunday.

I can see Mexico City or Toronto making sense but not London.

I have no doubt it's only a matter of time, and I can't disagree with the logic. Football is the greatest sport in the world, might as well push it more internationally.

I don't think Mexico City is gonna happen anytime soon with the Mexican drug cartels at war. Scary stuff going on down there. I don't know about Toronto. I just don't see it leaving the US anytime soon.

Most of the world loves soccer, hockey, or another game much much more. Just think of how long the United States has been pushing soccer and it hasn't really done much. Remember how David Beckham was supposed to change that? How long did that last?

It's only a second game overseas so it's no big deal, 2 out of 256 is no big deal
they should not host the super bowl overseas though

It is a big deal when your team is losing a home game

Tebow time!!! I'm picking him up in every fantasy league. I'll always be high on him until he proves he can't play (which I think won't happen).
