Same old routine. He gets like that after his hand's been slapped and/or they lost a close game to a hated rival.

I have to think he'll have to restructure his deal after the season or get cut. He's due to make $18 million next year, with a $11.75 million salary, $6 million roster bonus, and $250,000 workout bonus, none of which is guaranteed. It's unlikely they would have paid him that even if he stayed healthy, and there's no way they're paying it to a 32-year-old coming off an injury.

You ever see a NE fan after a loss? They're jumping off bridges because of their expectations. That fan base has gotten so obnoxious it's ridiculous. Ask 90% of NE fans who Steve Grogan or Tony Eason is and you get a blank stare. The fans that do are just about the only NE fans I respect and it has absolutely nothing to do with being a NYJ fan.
So here’s the thing with a generalized statement like the one you made, just because folks didn’t watch the Pats all of the years they were AWFUL doesn’t mean we are all bandwagon or fair-weather fans because now we adore them. I grew up in a hockey household in Dorchester, MA; where the only sports my father & brothers watched were Hockey (which I also played quite a bit).

So naturally the Bruins & Hockey have always been my number 1 passion. However, when the Pats starting looking legit (during the Drew Bledsoe years), I came on board and gave the sport a chance. I didn’t know much about the game since I wasn’t exposed to it when I was young, and when they really started winning a lot, is when I really became invested. Now some 20 years later, Football is my favorite sport and I couldn’t imagine liking any other sport as much as I do with it.

So my point being not everybody should be automatically grouped in as bandwagon followers just because their local team is good now, we all have different reasons for being a fan, regardless of WHEN it occurred.

Rex is feeling some pressure. He can't be too comfortable right now.

So I'm leaning towards Miami in my Survivor Pool. Being 1-1 and 0-2 in my FF leagues and AP/Gurley busts, I'm throwing in the towel.

Or if the refs didn't call a stupid penalty that kept them from being first and goal
Upon finding out that the Browns signed... Charlie Whitehurst... I went looking for articles about the Browns QB situation, and one reporter pointed out that the Browns have had five different starting quarterbacks in five games with Kessler now getting the start:

Johnny Manziel
Austin Davis
Robert Griffin III
Josh McCown
Cody Kessler

So whatever you think of your team's woes...

Instead of Whitehurst (WTF!?), they should have gotten Vick. Too logical..

Vick can't carry a team anymore so he's not going to be doing much of anything before he's injured.

First off, quality and thoughtful post. Secondly, fair enough...yes, in the particular instance of NE, I certainly do "grade" (if you will) a NE fan based on when they became a fan. That has to do with the fact that once Brady came in and they started winning games (and ultimately SBs), that bandwagon grew so large, so fast that the amount of dooshiness that came along with it in the form of the "typical" NE fan was ludicrous, not to mention widespread. That same dooshiness only perpetuated the chest-puffery and over the top arrogance that spawned the "Belichick is a genius" and "Brady is a football God walking amongst mere men who can do no wrong" argument in the eyes of said fans. I dunno, perhaps I was already a humble guy or became that way through my NYJ fandom after being beaten down all these years, who knows, but bottom line is that I personally detest arrogance and that's pretty much all I seem to experience in my dealings with "typical" NE fans.

It is good to see Aaron Rodgers get taken down a peg. So sick of hearing how he is the best QB in the league, best QB of all time.

His receivers bail him out a lot of the time with amazing grabs. I see other QB's throw the exact same pass and it gets picked off cause their receivers aren't as good.

Browns factory of sadness just keeps churning out the hits. Week 2 breakout receiver and first round pick Corey Coleman breaks his hand in practice.

No surprise given recent publicity but Kaepernick came out as the most disliked player in recent public poll of NFL players. These polls are heavily dependent on recent news events. Enough time has passed that most people probably forgot Winston is a likely rapist and Roethlisberg is a possible one. There are a lot of other players who have committed serious crimes but just aren't well known enough to register in a poll like this.

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/1...eting-research

Players with the highest % "disliked a lot":

Kaepernick 29%
Winston 22%
Suh 21%
Brady 13%
Roethlisberger 10%

So funny that Suh has been relatively quiet for a while and yet he still comes in the top three.

Just getting around to watching the late Sunday night post-game highlight package on NFLN. Is this whole interview style with Deion talking to the players live via Facetime a new thing??? Man, I really dislike it...it makes the whole highlight show feel really disjointed.
