Precisely why the game needs to won during the bulk of regulation and not leave it up to the refs towards the end cuz with the way the refs have been the past few years, we know how that's gonna go.

Great which means NE gets handed a win in what should have been a hard fought game in Pittsburgh atop the AFC. SMH.

Even Jerruh's not THAT stupid (close but). Time to let Romo ride off into the sunset either to another team that will overpay for him if they think they're a QB away from fielding a playoff team or more likely (hopefully), retirement.

Definitely shouldn't have let it come to that, but it still sucks to know an obvious blown call ended your chance.

I'm actually going to agree with you a little here.

My friend Tim likes the Steelers, and I was all ready to tell him "It's on now!" come game day, but it could be a little anti-climactic. Still not going to underestimate the Steelers tho.

I also can't see him leaving Michigan right as they're becoming a national championship threat. I think Harbaugh will eventually return to the NFL, but not anytime soon.
I hope Harbaugh stays in college for awhile. Those recruiting stories involving him are so fun to read and envision.

For years Romo played behind a terrible offensive line because Jerry refused to fix it between 2007 and 2011.

Last night's Colts-Texans game got the lowest Sunday Night Football ratings since a Saints 62-7 beatdown of the Colts in 2011 that was airing opposite the World Series. The game still nearly doubled the ratings of the Cubs-Dodgers game airing opposite SNF, but the continued falling ratings for NFL games have to be a concern for the league.

I get not underestimating PIT but did you see Landry Jones in relief of Big Ben yesterday? YIKES.

At least they can always count on the Cowboys to boost the ratings.

I get that ratings are lower this season, but again they have historically been lower in election years. Not to mention there's the heat of the pennant race also on and the start of hockey. Lots of options out there to tune into.

Meh, give him a solid week of practice. Plus they still have two badass runners.

I had no intentions on watching the game last night even though I was rooting for a Indy win for divisional standing purposes.

Del Rio comes back to Jacksonville, and I believe this is the first time he's returning since he was fired by the organization. I wonder what the reaction from the fans be once he walks onto the field this Sunday.

My dad got free tickets for the Texans game next month, and this will be his first time going out to see an NFL game.

Hockey isn't taking away from the NFL.

Baseball has some big locations (LA, Chicago), so that could play some part of it.

Election is the biggest cause though.

More people have actually watched this yr than last yr.
Problem is they are watching for less time which lowers the rating.

If they don't think the negative attention the league has gotten from Colin Kapernick has caused a lot of that then they are fooling themselves. Hardcore and fantasy football fans are generally still watching but the protests against the national anthem have clearly angered or turned plenty of people off.
