That too, good call. Perhaps some even tuned out due to the ineptitude of the refs the past few years, however small of an amount that would be.

This.

For a lot of people football is the thing they go to for a reprieve from that real life stuff.

If ratings gets worse you can bet they will stop giving it so much attention.

Right. Not to mention, it's the first thing the cameras turn to when the National Anthem is being sung (what players are kneeling/sitting).

Ding ding ding. Sports is escapism for a lot of people(myself included). If I want to hear about politics there are more than enough outlets for that.

Not to mention unnecessary fines and suspensions (deflategate, no celebrations), and moments like not acknowledging Dallas P.D.

Roger Goodell could also factor in as well. He's not exactly popular amongst the fans.

But again as i mentioned just as many people are tuning in this yr as last yr.

Theyre just not sticking around as long.

If theyre so pissed off bout stuff then why are they even tuning in at all ?

I need Fitzy to have a historically bad day, with like 3 or 4 pick 6s.

Could be the watered down product the NFL is delivering now and lots of fans are not tuning in for the entire game. They turn it on watch a couple series turn it off go do something else.

The Vikings Twitter account is making fun of Fox Sports for their horrible photoshop of Bradford's head on Bridgewater's body. Pretty funny.
