At this rate it's going to be amusing when Roger Goodell awards Brady the mvp, Belichick coach of the year and perhaps another super bowl to the Pats on top of that.

I have a friend that put $50 on Dak to win ROY in August before Romo's injury when the odds were 150-1. The day after he made the bet Romo got injured.

Good bet made by your friend. But let's face it, the Romo getting hurt part should have brought the odds down a bit to maybe 75-1, it's not like Romo missing a few games a season is any kind of shock any more.

Congrats Cowboys on the solid season so far.

The odds were fine. Betting on a 4th round rookie to win rookie of the year when he's not even in line to start. Statistically it would almost never happen. I think Elliott should win before Prescott.

Be even funnier when Dak topples Brady in the biggest game of the year and becomes the first rookie since the first NFL Championship to hoist the trophy.

I'll take that if the Cowboys are eliminated.

My vote for OT is make it same as college but instead of 25 yrd line start on 50.

That way you have to work to get into FG range.

No more ties then with that format.

The Cowboys are usually ratings gold, but not when they're going up against the Cubs in an elimination game. It'll be interesting to see what tomorrow's game and a potential game 7 rate when they aren't going head-to-head with the NFL:

Quote:
Per Austin Karp of the Sports Business Daily: Fox’s broadcast of Game 5 of the World Series between the Cubs and Indians drew a 15.3 overnight rating, topping the Cowboys-Eagles overtime game on NBC by 32% (11.6 for Sunday Night Football). According to Sports Media Watch, it’s the first time since 2013 that the World Series has topped SNF head-to-head.

Given national broadcasts of Cowboys’ games traditionally blow away all in its path, it’s a stunning number. World Series Game 5 was up 31% from the Royals-Mets last year (11.7) and up 87% from the Royals-Giants in 2014 (8.2). Via Sports Media Watch, the game drew the highest overnight rating for any Major League Baseball game since Game 7 of the 2011 Rangers/Cardinals Fall Classic (16.2).

Cowboys will win the 18-49 rating though.

That is shocking, especially when all they're getting is a third round pick (and it's the Browns compensatory third round pick meaning it will be at the end of the round). I know the Patriots were going to have trouble re-signing Collins, Hightower, Malcolm Butler (RFA), and several other players but they've got a ton of cap space and if they lost Collins they likely would have gotten a 2018 third round compensatory pick in return.

It's just Belichicks idea of a Halloween trick. Jamie Collins will land at the Browns facility in Cleveland only to learn he was traded right back to the Patriots.

Talks must have really gotten contentious. Collins is a really athletic LB who plays at a high level.

Collins is pretty damn good...he must have not kneeled down and kissed Bellicheat's rings the correct way.

He wanted a Ware type contract and in reality Collins has been often injured and not playing so well this season.

I just feel bad for Collins as being sent to Cleveland is like being sent to Siberia.

Getting lost in all this is why would the Browns swing this trade.

They're 0-8 and Collins will probably bolt first chance he gets.
