Gonzalez ain't better than Ditka or Witten. Gronk will be the GOAT TE when it is all said and done.
I hope Romo retires. There's a place for him in the Cowboys organization; it just isn't as the starting QB. There's a new set of triplets in town. |

Gonzalez has the tight end record for receptions, touchdown receptions, and receiving yards, and only missed 2 games in his 17-year career. It's hard to compare someone like Ditka to Gonzalez because the game has changed so much, but I don't know how anyone could say Gonzalez isn't the greatest tight end of all-time. Gronk may be able to eventually pass Gonzalez in touchdowns but he's not going to come close to touching the other numbers. Gronk may go down as the most dominant tight end of all-time but he'll likely have a much shorter career due to the recklessness he plays with and the hits he takes.

I have never understood, at all, the criticism that Romo has gained over his career. The guy is good and has the stats to prove it. I would love to see him sign/trade with a team that can compete to win (sorry Rams, Browns, Jets, etc.).

He's criticized because he's only made the playoffs 4 times and only has 2 playoff wins. Fair or not QBs are judged on what they've done in the playoffs and it's hard to be considered elite when you've never even made a conference title game.

![]() I don't know the numbers but Gates has to be close. Not sure how many seasons he has left in the tank though! Quote:
With that said I have always thought Romo was a good guy, just not very clutch. Assuming Dallas releases him after the season, it will be pretty interesting to see where he lands. Perhaps a good offseason thread poll? ![]() |
