Because I do care some what to an extent, I don't mind having a good conversation aboot da fooseball but the name calling needs to end. As far as Irvin in the Top 5, after reviewing total receiving yards, I'd be more apt to place him in the top 15 maybe even top 10 & I am a Dallas fan.

Accomplishments matter, longevity matters, overall game and what you brought to the team matters. Gronk could pass Witten but he hasnt passed him all time yet. Thats all I am saying. Gronk has already surpassed Witten in TDs and has played half the amount of games lol.

You look at Bruce's #'s and he crushes Irvin. Same for Carter.

Hell I'd glady take Julio over Irvin right now.

Irvin played enough years and played with the rushing leader in NFL history where we passed minimal. Do you know the game of footbal and how its played. Receivers like Julio, Bruce, Carter etc..played in pass happy offenses. If Irvin was part of the best show on turf, or played in a dome like Julio where the QB throws 35-45 times a game then it would be different. Do you understand that. Irvin was an absolute beast and right with Rice tit for tat his career. Rice is the only reciever better than Irvin period. I dont care what numbers you throw at me, because I watched the game and know how to judge based of talent, longevity, dominance etc......Moss only ran deep and scared to go over the middle and quit on his teams at times, TO was dysfunctional and took plays off. I love both of them but I can tell it like it like it is. Think deeper than just numbers. And most list have Brown, Emmitt, Barry, Payton as the unanimous top 4. Faulk & LT better than Emmitt?? Well perception is different for everyone really. My opinion of Irvin was a top 10/15 receiver but I had to review the numbers because I enjoy a healthy debate. Regardless he's in the HoF & rightly so. T.O. has the numbers but his personality for me was a bit of a turn off when he played, same with Moss. Both of them where top athletes but their attitudes were wonky at times.

Barry would have had the rushing record if he played and not retired in his prime rather than hang on to the point of collapse like Emmitt. Faulk and LT were complete backs and could run and catch. Not to also talk about more explosive than Emmitt period.

Nice that you use your flawed eyes to determine who is better rather than using a multitude of factors. Just goes back to the homerism or impartiality of you as a fan of a specific team. Irvin is nowhere near top 5 not now not ever.

LOL no. Michael played on a team that had the all time leading rusher which would normally hurt your receiving numbers and still put up great numbers. Irvin was the protoype big physical that you see now and didn't play in a pass first offense and with the rules that benefit the receivers now. And his career was cut short due to injury.
Moss and Rice are the only ones on this list that were better than Irvin. And I don't care if you want to mention how many yards these other receivers have or had. Most if not all of those receivers played in an era that either benefited receivers with the new rules or played in pass first, West Coast type offenses or both.
