He's 2-4. Mark Sanchez was 4-2 for the Jets, but nobody thinks Sanchez is the better QB.

Drafting has done nothing for the Jets since the only thing they can teach is how to hold a clipboard. Romo is their only hope.

Amazing story. The father of Packers LB Joe Thomas Jr. returned to college four years ago when his small business went under. Today he got the opportunity to play college football at RB at the age of 55. He's believed to be the oldest player to ever take a snap in a Division 1 football game.

Joe Thomas Sr., father of Packers LB, plays for South Carolina State

With a 3-yard gain, South Carolina State running back Joe Thomas Sr., the 55-year-old father of Green Bay Packers linebacker Joe Thomas Jr., fulfilled his dream Saturday.

Joe Sr. took the field against Savannah State on senior day as the oldest walk-on running back for South Carolina State, where Joe Jr. played from 2010 to 2013.

His son was scheduled to be on the Packers' team plane headed for Sunday's game at Washington.

"I am a little worried," Joe Jr. said Friday. "I know his body might be a little fragile. I'm going to try to get the coach not to run him on one of those stretch plays. I'm going to try to get him to run straight downhill."

Joe Jr. has been with the Packers since 2015.

He said his father was an entrepreneur in South Carolina with a construction company and a training facility until the recession wiped out his business. Four years ago, his father decided to pursue a degree -- he's studying engineering -- and revive his athletic career.

"It's been crazy for me," Joe Jr. said. "I never thought you'd see a 55-year-old running back. I'm just proud of him. He made his mind up to do something and stuck to it."

I pray Romo has the good sense to retire before taking any snaps as a Jet.

lol Romo is trash, but I guess one man's trash is another man's treasure. Cowboys fans are so funny. Can't wait to see another choke job by the Cowboys in the playoffs. We all know it's coming. Just a matter of when.

At least we'll be in the play-offs, Jets fans will be watching the play-offs as usual. Anyone who thinks Romo is trash is only proving how little they know about the NFL.

He's not worthy of the faith of being a starting QB as has been evidenced by the past two years. And because of the cap hit that he currently holds, he is not worth the headache of trotting him out there to see him break down yet again. But sure he's the best thing since sliced bread

I haven't been this nervous about a game in a long time. Tomorrow is the biggest game we've had in ages. There is no doubt in my mind we are better than the Colts. But will we win? Will we fold under pressure?

Not trying to look too far ahead, but if we win these next two games (Colts, Bears), we will go into the bye at 7-5. Meanwhile the Texans should lose at least two of their next three (knock on wood).

Our finale at home against the Texans could very well be for the division title. And if that's the case, it could get flexed to SNF.

I can dream. Usually when I start thinking this way, the team crushes my hopes. We shall see.

Go Titans! Go Raiders! Go Dolphins!

Romo is a great QB in the regular season, and I don't think anyone has ever doubted that fact. Romo catches flack, because of his performance in his few postseason appearances. Historically, he's prone to throwing games away via interceptions. Don't let 2014 give you amnesia. He holds several all-time Cowboys records. But, rings matter.

Arizona has a thing for aging QBs, so he might be a favorite to land there. Chicago would hold some sentimental value, but I don't see him going to that dumpster fire.

Romo isn't old. He has just been hurt. He is still clearly capable of playing at a high level and better than anything the Jets have thrown out in a long time. How did that make no sense? You literally argued for and against the same point at the same time.

Coming into this season Romo had missed a whopping 2 games in 4 years.

Who said Romo was old? Don't believe I typed that.... You're projecting. He is capable of playing at a high level, yet he's only played 4 games in the past 2 years. Not sure how you can make that assessment until he actually performs again, which it seems he will not be able to do until next year at minimum. You make no sense since Favre was not old trash at that point. Like I said thanks for coming!

But now that you mention it, Romo will be 37 and most likely will not have played a regular season snap in 1.5 years....

You're defending the Jets QB situation and history and I am the one in the wrong? Lol. You are fighting a one man battle it seems as the only one who doesn't think Romo is better than Fitzpatrick/Geno/Petty.

Seriously. Romo at 75% with the Jets would probably make him their best QB in decades.

I simply stated that we had Favre QB the team, who is and always will be a better QB than one Tony Romo. That's it. Pure and simple.

Now you are changing the narrative lol . Just quit. When did I say Romo is not better than those 3 QBs? Please quote that, and I'll stop replying. What I'm saying is that he's not worth trading a high draft pick and then giving him an exorbitant contract to see him break down yet again. You need to come stronger than that if you want to debate me. Not just throw crap at a wall and hope it sticks

I'd rather the Jets develop a QB than sign or trade for a 37 yr old who hasn't played a meaningful snap in 1.5 years
