Jimmy Johnson didn't get in and he crafted one of the best dynasties in the history of the NFL, why would "allergic to great QBs" Reid get in?

That's basically it. I think if he won a title with the Eagles there wouldn't even be a discussion, everyone would just assume he's a lock for the HOF. Tom Coughlin has a mediocre .531 win % as a head coach but he's a HOF lock while Reid has a far superior .602 win % yet probably won't make the HPF unless he wins a title. That's just how it is.

Jimmy Johnson only won 80 NFL games as a head coach. He just didn't have the longevity in the NFL to make the cut. Had he spent more years in the NFL instead of college football he would have made the NFL HOF.

Are you not feeling well?
Andy Reid is basically a QB whisperer. McNabb and Smith are testament to that.
The guy has better stats than Marv Levy who is in the HoF. Plus we all know the Hall is very political. Stats and/or rings get you in the conversation. How you conducted yourself during your career plays a big part of Hall noms. Just ask T.O.(that's my QB )
So yeah if Reid were to win a Championship I think it would be a serious candidate.
Jimmy didn't coach long(9 seasons if you count Miami). Shanny won back to back rings, coached longer and he's not in.

McNabb was a franchise QB but he was not a great QB. Alex Smith is now and always will be a bum, that game last night between Oakland and KC was basically a clinic on how not to play QB in the NFL.

But who won? Which is my point.
Reid transformed both his teams into winners. It's all opinion, but we will find out after Big Red retires.
As it stands he's got the stats. He's obviously well liked in NFL circles. The only thing missing is a championship. Which is why I contend if he wins one he would become a strong candidate.

He does know defense, the Iggles consistently had one of the best defenses in the NFL in his years there. Same with Kansas City. I just don't think he's a HOF coach, he's only been to one Super Bowl and he lost it.

Actually he knows how to hire good DC's. Reid's strengths have always been on the offensive side of the ball.
Again, it's why I said IF he won a Championship. He would conceivably have better stats than Levy, and ring to boot.

Not sure TC's a lock for the HoF but two rings helps his cause.

Tom Flores begs to differ 2 rings as a headcoach. (And also 1 as a player and 1 as an assistant coach)

I would say the Iggles are learning why you don't draft QBs from North Dakota State with the second overall pick.

Best season in 20 years so I'm going to be sick if we get swept by the Giants.

13 games doesn't define a career.

First, they have to win a single playoff game. Which they've done once since 1993.
