No need for a replacement, he's on the team already (Leo). Shel was/is the odd man out now that Mo's been resigned, but has been underwhelming to say the least since his contract extension. I think this is just lazy on the writer's behalf, but it's far too early in the process to care as it will change 1,000 times between now and April.

Elliott isn't in the MVP race. Only under extreme circumstances will it not go to a QB, and Elliott hasn't been extreme circumstances good.

I don't root for a player based on one game, don't think I've ever met another Cowboys fan that did. Dak IS our QB (I hope) for the next 10-15 years and I doubt that will change based on anything that happens this season. However, the success of the team is more important than whether or not he gets to start. If being benched for the first time in his life due to lackluster performances in 3 straight games(we're including the Tampa game in this) is what it takes to light a fire under him, I'm all for it. I do think they'll wait and see how he does this week and next week though but this team would be best served to play at home throughout the play-offs. Also, jerseys really? We all have jerseys, doesn't make any of us more of a fan than anyone else. I will say it's a bit weird you only seem to really post about the Cowboys when things are going well. Got em!
