He's a rookie that took your team to a historic 11 game winning streak. He needs a fire lit underneath his butt? Nah.

He's been really bad the last two weeks against play-off caliber defenses, if that's what we can expect from him in the play-offs, he'll be one and done in the post-season this year. I do think he will improve but if he doesn't, at least we have Romo, although I hope it doesn't come to that. Dance with the one you brought, if at all possible.

Matty Ice is basically Romo with worse stats, I also wouldn't put him ahead of David Carr's better brother.

Yeah because Romo has a stellar playoff performance record.

Just look up Romo's play-off stats (and don't be one of those guys that holds that Seattle game against him, he never should've been holding). Aside from the Vikings game where he was pressured the whole time, he's actually been solid to great in every single play-off game he's played, it's not his fault most of the teams he's had in Dallas weren't good enough to take him further.

Ok then McNabb is light years ahead of Romo, if that's criteria. Romo has always been surrounded by all star talent, especially on offense.

Unfair or not, a QB will always be judged on their playoff wins, not stats.
Don't get me wrong, I've always like Romo...just not on Dallas!

You mean like La La Robinson, Patrick Crayton, Kevin Ogletree and the runningbacks we had after Emmitt? None of those guys were that good, aside from DeMarco Murray and now Zeke Elliott. Not to mention our offensive line from 2008-2011 was one of the worst in the league and probably made Romo more fragile than he would've been otherwise. Romo usually had Witten, a decent WR1 and nothing else, all QBs need a solid running game and at least 3 consistent receiving weapons.

I would say McNabb is somewhere around Romo's level, he always had amazing numbers for the most part, regardless of personnel.

Hello? Dez, Witten, T.O.(for more than the one year McNabb had him).
McNabb's playoff number blow Romos away, and he did it with arguably much less talent. Not even close!
Basically Romo couldn't hold his jockstrap in that regard.

MVP isn't stats alone. Just like the Hall.

DPOY: Miller or Mack. I think Miller has the edge.
15th hardest schedule vs hardest schedule.

Dez is the most wildly inconsistent player I can ever remember playing for the Cowboys. He's pretty gifted but lacks long speed, consistent route-running or consistent hands. He's pretty much a one-trick pony outside the red zone and way too often he gives you games like last night. It's a shame he never put in the work to be the best player he can be, at this point I'd be okay with replacing him in the draft and spending that $ elsewhere.

Carr has the ball last more often in crunch time. Ryan has lead 2 late 4th quarter drives that the defense then gave up the lead on [or he threw a pick-2]. But QBR also takes the game situation into account, and Ryan is destroying him.

Not sure if that factors into the voting process, as players can't control their schedules.

We'll see how Matty Lice handles himself in the post-season this year, NFC is a bit down so he should have a chance to get past the wild card round at least.

Come on man....Romo has had much more talent and produced, what? Two playoff wins? One coming against a depleted Philly team.
Sorry, he's a great guy and a regular season stud, but he has shown he can't get it done in the playoffs.
Whereas with McNabb that was about the one thing he did do pretty well, was win playoff games.

Edit: And one playoff bye for Romo, while it doesn't count as a win, it does show their team was good enough to get a bye.

McNabb usually had decent receivers, Jimmy Johnson's ridiculous defense and good to great runningbacks. Not to mention while I give Any Reid crap, the Iggles ran the NFC for about 7 years largely because of him, probably why they're my second most hated team behind only the G-Strings.

Outside of T.O. for the one year, who are these great receivers McNabb had?
I must have missed them? Todd Pinkston, Freddie Mitchell, Jason Avant, and about a dozen other nobodies. Lol!

Maybe Westbrook, but he had to catch a lot of passes out of the backfield because the receivers were that pedestrian.
He did have Jackson for a few years, but most of his playoff success came before Jackson was drafted. Then Mcabb was traded.

QBR must be undervaluing pick two's and pick sixes by a lot. Rodgers has most passing TD and Brees has most yards so are they MVP candidates? Stats lie.

I said decent, I never said great. He made those guys look better than they were for sure but that's what good to great QBs do, they elevate the play of everyone around them.

A-Rod would actually have my vote for MVP if I were voting for a non-Cowboy since he's been absolutely lights out since the Pack lost for the 6th time. He's practically willing them into that #6 spot.

Dear God, this ESPN pre-game show is the absolute worst, totally unbearable if even for a minute. Charles Woodson's voice is almost comedic with how deep it is...it's almost jarring.
