The Braves have been doing that for years. Since the 1995 World Series:

1996 - Leyritz Homerun
1997 - Got Eric Gregg'd
1998 - Best all-around team in baseball loses to Pads in LCS.
1999 - Chipper carried team but not far enough.
2000 - Ugh.
2001 - Somehow we made it to NLCS and got stomped.
2002 - Best bullpen ever/pitching staff we choke 2-1 lead against SF.
2003 - Best Braves' offense ever gets shut down by Cubs in 5 Games.
2004 - Best Braves' comeback to win division is wasted in 5 against HOU.
2005 - Heartbreaking 18-inning game against Astros. Up 5-1 in 8th inning.
2010 - Brooks Conrad game. Bobby's last game.
2011 - Choked playoff spot in September.
2012 - Wild Card Game. Infield Fly Rule. Chipper choked last game.
2013 - Amazing offense. Useless against LAD in LDS.

Falcons
1998 Super Bowl. Eugene Robinson arrested for solicitation of prostitute the night before the Super Bowl ironically after being awarded the Walter Payton Award.
2002 - Vick destroyed by Philly after beatin GB at Lambeau.
2003 - Vick break's leg in 2nd preseason game.
2004 - Stomped by Philly after stomping Rams the week before.
2012 - Blew a 17-0 lead against SF in the NFCCG at home.
2017 - Blew a 28-3 lead in the last quarter and a half in the Super Bowl.

Hawks
1998 - One of the best Eastern Conference teams in the league gets elimin 1R.
2008 - Lost in 7 to eventual champ Celtics in first round.
2015 - Destroyed as #1 seed to Cavs in Eastern Conference Finals.

GA Tech
2003 - Make it to National Title Game, abruptly destroyed by UConn.

UGA - Not gonna go here.

Any time I run into a NE fan, I ask them who the QB was BEFORE Brady and giggle during the ensuing silence. If they happen to pull Bledsoe out of their ass, I ask them if Steve Grogan or Tony Eason mean anything to them.

Man it's cool that Brady won MVP but honestly would have loved to see James White. Everyone said Freeman and Coleman were gonna be the difference makers and little James White stole the show.

you forgot about GB going into Atlanta and absolutely shredding that team back in 2010 when Atl had home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Best Superbowl ever? I'd take one that was a nail-biter throughout to one like this in a heartbeat. For example, I consider the Pats/Seahawks from just two years ago to be a better game.

It's all opinion.
In my humble opinion, it was the best NFL Championship game I've seen.
Especially when you take into account everything New England had to endure for months leading up to the season...then through the season.
I've never seen a bigger example of vindication on display, than I did last night.

I for one am looking to forward to no football for a little bit. I never thought I'd ever say that as a football fan, but for some reason this season and all of the shenanigans really wore on me. This is precisely why my lady and I book a "post-football season depression" trip for 5 or 6 days every year in the weeks after the Super Bowl to have something to look forward to and clear our heads for a bit.

I've followed this team for 16 years; basically for as long as I've taken a liking to watching football. My fandom is real, and so is that of many others who mainly know the Brady-era Patriots.

It goes to show how many bandwagon fans there are. Just because I didn't see any NYJ football until I became a fan around 1980, I have still delved into the team history to understand their lineage.

I was talking about the folks that pop in here after the SB when they haven't posted squat all season long. You're not one of those folks, you're a regular poster in this thread.
