Just another unfortunate case of someone blessed with a world of talent, but lacking the simple ability to make good decisions.

Sad to see Cruz go, but I guess it had to be done.

Seen this posted a few times in some of the comment sections ...... ALLdon Smith. Has a nice ring to it. I was a little bummed when we got rid of him, now glad that we did. Shame, he had so much potential.

Please, if Brady and company played during the Era of 1979-1996, when you were actually allowed to hit players, Brady might have lasted 5 years, tops. Tough is not a word associated with Tom Brady. Hell against his own head coach, as a defensive coordinator for the Giants, I guarantee that defensive unit would have knocked his candy @$$ out. How many QB'S on a regular basis did the Giants knock out? Montana is on that list twice, Joe Theismann, and quite a few others. And once Brady gets sandwich hit by Jim Burt, and any combination of Lawrence Taylor, Harry Carson, Carl Banks, or Pepper Johnson on that Parcells led, Belichick defense schemed team, Brady would retire.

Cruz will probably head to Tampa and revis will be unemployed. Because he won't play for pennies and that's all he'll get offered.

This argument holds zero merit... it's all speculation. Brady plays per today's rules; rules he didn't make just for himself. I can just eas easily argue that guys like Montana would not be accomplished since there were no salary caps during that time.

It's not? He seems pretty damn tough both physically and mentally to me. I know the rules have changed for the benefit of QB's but you act like the last of the "tough" QB's died out in the 90's. That's ridiculous. Today's QB's still get hit a ton of times. Brady has been sacked over 400 times in his career. In 16 seasons as the Patriots starter he's missed more than one game in just 2 seasons, one of them due to the BS suspension in 2016.

Tom Brady not tough? Now I've heard it all. Other than the year he got Theismanned he's always been available. Almost Favre-like toughness.

Montana won his four in the non-salary cap era.
Brady won his five in the salary cap era.
Much tougher.

I absolutely agree with you. Brady is always begging for a flag if the defense sneezes on him.

Fact is Joe had a lot stiffer competition than Brady in his conference. It is what it is.

Yeah, Revis is guaranteed $6 million this year from the Jets and his contract has offset language so if he's released any salary he receives would lower the amount the Jets have to pay him. No team will pay Revis more than $6 million so in essence if he plays somewhere he'll be playing for free. Revis is clearly in the decline so I'll be surprised if he doesn't retire.

Cant afford him with all of the extensions coming up. With three backs he was definitely under utilized so he still has a lot of miles left on his career. Good blocking back too.

There are a lot of QB's (and players in general) pointing and yelling at the refs for flags. That part I don't like (especially the WR's after each play they don't catch the ball). It is what it is.

But if the competition isn't what it used to be, supposedly, and a QB League, then why hasn't anyone been as good as TB12? Because TB12 is in a league of his own.
