Just found out my buddy has Julio Jones in the upcoming draft, among others. I love the draft to see where my Georgia guys go and to see who the Packers and Lions get, but it makes it especially interesting for me when a guy I know has such a serious stake in it.

In a word the answer is: No. Neither side is stupid enough to kill the golden goose that is NFL football. Both sides like to claim poverty when in reality they're making big money and fan interest in the league is the highest it's ever been. One or both sides will blink and after all the talk a deal will be struck.

I hope the owners lock them out and hire scabs just to rub salt in the wound. These players have been milking the system for years and it's about time someone stood up to them.

This is why I no longer watch the NFL and appreciate the college game more.

The players are committing extortion. It's just that simple.
You do know, that the players aren't asking for nothing, it's the owners wanting more! The owners want a 18 game schedule! The owners want a bigger piece of the "pie"!

I totally side with the owners.

Considering they already play 20 games in a season (barring playoffs) I don't see why 18-game schedule of regular season games is so bad. Yeah you might get hit more, but that's what the health care update is for. And considering that players make ridiculous amounts of money, Brady 76 million for 4 years.....they have to take the hit in the wallet.

You can't demand the health care and not give up some money. An average person (average, not doctors or lawyers or anyone else with a lot of money) would be lucky to hit $2 million dollars in a lifetime. Considering a lot of people under that bar are in way more dangerous jobs (police, oil rigs, firefighters, repo men, security guards) and still make it through you won't find much sympathy among the common man for these players and their whining.

Simply put, if the player don't like the terms of the league, they can go play somewhere else. And you can be damn sure they won't be getting a $50+ million contract in any other football league.

I agree with the owners for the most part, except for the 18 game schedule. There is really no good reason for two more regular season games either from the fans or players perspective. Not only would is reduce the quality of the regular season IMO, it would also screw around with NFL records. I really like that we've had 16 games seasons for so long and would rather we not screw around with 2 more games.

I believe that there will be a lockout. As quickly as the most recent negotiations were nixed, despite everyone involved claiming how important they were, I think the parties are verrrrrrrrry far apart on coming to an agreement.

Buffalo Bills GM Buddy Nix is very high on Cameron Newton according to sources inside Buffalo's front office.

In good news, I'm really excited to see Buffalo's new uniforms. I honestly believe this is the year Buffalo is going to take a step or two forward. They are a very young team with a lot of talent that should start to come together this season. (I hope)

Mayocks saying he thinks we'll have 7-9 Dlineman taken in the first round. If the trend from 2006 continues (7 were taken) then you have 3 pro bowlers, 3 busts and an average backup... Not really good numbers if you ask me
