Buddy just texted me my Eagles got Alshon Jeffrey, 1 year $14M woohoo! With him and Torrey Smith, there's two big WR acquisitions that we BADLY needed

I'm still a little iffy on Jeffery. I like him, he's always seems to be a good team guy, but that suspension last year....very troubling. I'm shocked Philly went this route.
But all of sudden we have a pretty decent WR corps, and a chance to get another possible stud with pick #14.

Now sign Latavius Murray and I'm in heaven!

NFC East could have the best WR's in the league. Pryor is visiting Washington.

I'm gonna have faith in Howie and the front office that they talked to Jeffrey and are satisfied that he's on the straight and narrow

Big upgrades for our receiving corps, now we just need to draft/sign some O-linemen or all this will be for naught when Wentz takes a beating

Just wish Jeffrey had signed a more long-term deal but I don't blame him for not wanting to be tied down just yet.

Dream scenario right there. They don't make this kind of move without having a QB in mind to be the new starter.

Ian Rappaport said (following the Osweiler trade) that the Texans will not trade for Romo, only has interest in him if he's released. It also sounds like the Broncos don't have interest in Romo at his current salary.

Cleveland is doing this rebuild right. Scorch the roster and accumulate as many draft picks as possible.

So it's within the rules to just give away picks/players for nothing in return? I can't recall anything like the Osweiler move happening before. I didn't think you could make a trade for nothing.

Jury is still out there. They haven't made any dumb signings (we'll see what they do with Brock), but they haven't WOW!'d me yet either. Still unsure why they left Pryor out there unsigned.

And the draft of course.. will determine the rest.

I really like the literal one year deal....keeps players hungry. Stats usually seem to hit high on contract years.

Definitely agree that the OL needs some depth. It's a fairly decent starting five, but quality depth is huge.
Will be interesting to see if they can swing a trade for either Kelce or Kendricks, to free a little more cap space and maybe stockpile some picks!

Edit: speak of the devil, Eagles sign Chance Warmack to a 1yr deal.

Lol, that's an NBA style trade! Designed to remove money. Houston need to dump money and Cleveland needed to spend. Basically, Houston is getting cash off the books for a few picks.
Will be interesting to see if more trades like this happen, going forward!
