2013 may go down as the worst top 10 in draft history. #1 pick Eric Fisher has been average at best. #2 pick Luke Joeckel is a bust. Dion Jordan was #3. Lane Johnson has been solid but he's been suspended twice for PEDs. Barkevious Mingo, Jonathan Cooper, Chance Warmack, and Dee Milliner have all been busts. Tavon Austin has never been great but the Rams stupidly gave him a huge extension prior to the 2016 season averaging over $10 million per year even though he was under already contract through 2017 and has never shown more than flashes of greatness. Zingy Ansah is the only top 10 pick to make a Pro Bowl but he didn't have a great 2016 season.

That's my guess. The Patriots are usually quiet about visits and usually insist that the player is silent as well but this visit has had plenty of publicity surrounding it. I can't see the Patriots paying Peterson more than around $2 million and I'd be surprised if Peterson would take that now rather than waiting until camp to see if any team is desperate after an injury or suspension.
