I'm guessing McCaffrey if he's there, if not, David Njoku. I'm good with either one.
I like Jabrill Peppers a lot but no one I want ever gets drafted by the pats. I think he could be great for the bucs plus he does so much maybe even a little running back. His highlights are super fun to watch.

I want a defensive end war daddy but I bet Jerry trades up for another Morris Claiborne type CB.

I wouldn't be upset if we drafted Peppers. He's one of those rare players that can do a little of everything. The big question is where to put him. On paper I think he's too small for an NFL linebacker and I don't think he has the toughness for playing SS or the cover skills to play FS. The thing is, he always seems to be around the ball. He just makes plays. The last time we drafted a tweener, someone like Peppers, it worked out pretty good for us. It was Derrick Brooks.

Maybe an episode of SVU. They already got a documentary filmed about him and his murder trial that's supposed to be coming out.

I'm hoping a couple QB's go in the first 9 picks and push those elite defensive players down the board.

Patriots aren't trading Jimmy for 12 and a second. That's a trade they could have made a month ago if they were interested in trading Jimmy, but the Patriots don't want to trade him and have never engaged in serious trade talks with any team, so unless the Browns or some team comes to them with a package involving multiple first round picks the Pats are content to keep Jimmy. They can then franchise him after the season and figure out their future then depending on how Brady looks this year and what they think his future holds.

Considered one of the worst QB crops in years so I wouldn't hold my breath.

Other than going out with the fellas and slugging beers, I couldn't be more underwhelmed for the upcoming draft. This new format utterly bores me to tears, it's just SO damn anti-climatic.

Huh? There's TONS of chatter about this crop of QBs and I can easily remember recent years that were far worse in terms of quality at the position. Now if you were to say OL, then I would agree with you.

Teams that don't have QB's are always desperate for them. Wouldn't surprise me to see 2 go in the top 10.

I don't know what to make out of Detroit's position at 21. There's no telling who will be there.

We desperately need CB and LB. I would love Fournette but he won't drop that low. One of the elite WRs could be but I just don't know if that would be practical right now.

Jake Butt at TE would be a nice move, I see him more in R2 but I don't think he'll go that low for Detroit without them trading up. As much as I hate Michigan, they have a handful of players in this draft that I'd be pleased to see Detroit draft.

It is the most overrated thing in all of sports. It is one pick per team. The draft is important in football but to turn the draft into an event where you are supposed to sit around for 4 hours and get excited when your player picks one player for their 53 man roster seems ridiculous.

You nailed it...this says it all for me. Now when they had the first 1-3 rounds or so during one day it was cool, but to have this huge lead up to where most teams pick one player and move on is just so lame to me.

QB's get reached for almost every year. I don't see why this year would be different. Besides, I don't think it's as bad a class as you seem to think.

I do prefer the older format when 1-3 were the same day. However, I do like that instead of wasting all day Saturday and Sunday, I can watch it Thursday and Friday night and ignore the rest and have my weekend.

I know Detroit only picks once in R1, but I enjoy watching the other teams. There are college players I like, other NFL teams I keep an eye on, watch out for any mishaps (terrible player selection and/or trades), see which players slide, etc. And I have my fantasy team on my mind at all times

I love the draft. A true 'event' for me. I'm a football junkie, I can't get enough of it. I need my fix!

Yep, it's the best thing between Super Bowl and August.
