Jones would be in jail if it wasn't for his early athletic abilities. He's a complete mess, and I suspect without some sort of support group he will wind up in jail shortly after his career is over, or worse.
Zeke has every chance to learn from people like Jones, and don't make those same mistakes. If anything, keep as low a profile as possible while the league office is gathering information on you! Damn, play video games all night long if you're not going to study the playbook or game film.

What treatment does pacman have? He does whatever he wants on and off the field and the bengals are like whatever. Zeke is still a super young guy I could careless if he fights a dude as long as it's not a female who cares. I mean we all seen dudes fighting, sh!t sometimes they throw punches on the field. Drugs, dui and domestic violence that's all I care about.

Not that I'm a fan of athletes getting in trouble, but if it gets Zeke suspended for part of the season then all the better for my Birds.

The Panthers fired GM Dave Gettleman today. Very weird timing and it'll be interesting to see what information comes out because a GM doesn't just get fired in July, especially when the team made the Super Bowl 2 seasons ago.

Quote:
CHARLOTTE -- Carolina Panthers Owner/Founder Jerry Richardson announced Monday that general manager Dave Gettleman has been relieved of his duties. Gettleman had been general manager of the Panthers since 2013.

“After much thought and a long evaluation of our football operations, I have decided to relieve Dave Gettleman of his duties as general manager,” Richardson said. “I want to thank Dave for the role he played in our success over the past four seasons. While the timing of this decision is not ideal, a change is needed.”

Well that's messed up. SB appearance 2 years ago and a strong draft selection this year?

Interesting..

Zeke is a knucklehead like Gronk. Hope he has good enough judgement not to do something too stupid.

Don't trust anything by ESPN anymore. They're goodells hit squad.

Redskins reported that Cousins turned down highest guaranteed signing amount for QB in NFL history; $53M.

Dallas WR/returner Lucky Whitehead's home was broken into and his dog was stolen. Now he's getting calls for ransom payments to be made.

Betting on himself. Or that Redskins front office spooked him away.

Even if that's true it was dumb of the Redskins to publicly say that. It makes Cousins look greedy and it's just going to create more animosity between Cousins and the Redskins front office. Cousins knows that as long as he doesn't suffer a catastrophic injury this season he'll likely be able to get $60 million or more guaranteed after the season when teams don't have to give up any compensation to sign him, and that's in addition to the $24 million he's making this year and the $20 million he made last year.

You're talking about a franchise that engaged in a prolonged campaign to undermine and smear their GM publicly before finally firing him last year. Dan Snyder never handles things professionally. He's the James Dolan of the NFL.

Before he was drafted, I said Zeke was a headcase. Someone on here got ridiculously defensive about it just for me suggesting such a thing.

That said, who knows what the actual incident was. Not a good look, and I suspect this is not the last time he'll be in trouble.

With the Cowboys having all these off field issues after losing two starting OL and their entire secondary, it's hard for me to imagine them making it back to the playoffs. Dak and Zeke will be tested much more this season. I think Dak will have a major sophomore slump. The dude had a ridiculous amount of time to throw the ball last year. I don't expect the same to happen this year. Defense will likely be worse and the OL will take a step back. That means more pressure on Dak and Zeke.

We'll see what happens, but I don't see the Cowboys getting double digit wins.

Washington blew it when they failed to do anything 2 years ago, when THEN GM Scot McCloughan wanted to sign Cousins to a very affordable contract that paid him in the neighborhood of $12m/yr. The circus that is the Washington front office balked and tried to low ball, Team Kirk went the franchise tag route and played it masterfully. That press release only exemplifies how inept their front office is. Even this summer Washington failed to realize the market started at the tag price. Why wouldn't Cousins listen to offers? This whole press release is a failed attempt at spin control.
No complaints here! Cousins is 4-1 against Philly. Happy trails!

The funny thing is McCloughan was more competent than the Skins ownership and the rest of the front office even though he was often drunk.

As an Ohio State fan, I always thought Zeke was pretty stupid. Talented, but stupid.

Nah this is what you said about him:

Don't try that 'I told you so bs' about him being a headcase.
