Not a bad gig if you can get it. Guess I should have taken practice more serious back in the day. Lol.

Zac Dysert, one of the quarterbacks battling for the Cowboys backup QB job, will miss the season after he herniated a disc reaching for something in the Cowboys training room. That leaves Kellen Moore, who missed all of last season with a broken leg, and undrafted rookie Cooper Rush as the quarterbacks behind Dak Prescott so there's a good chance they'll be in the market for a QB.

Kap would be a good fit in Texas.

Sounds like a solid life choice. Hard to beat getting a PhD from MIT. He'll have plenty of great career opportunities beyond football.

At age 26, Ravens’ John Urschel retires from NFL to pursue PhD in math at MIT

Something about playing professional football does not add up anymore for Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman John Urschel.

On Thursday, just two days after a new study revealed increasing evidence connecting the degenerative brain disease chronic traumatic encephalopathy to the highest levels of the game, the 26-year-old retired.

Baltimore, where Urschel played for three seasons, made the announcement online.

Word out of camp is they'll sign another no-name to be a camp arm so it won't be "Kap".

Hah. Maybe if there were a team based in Austin. Anywhere outside of there in Texas Kaep would be public enemy #1.

Alf and Run DMC, your point? Alf is one dimensional, Hillman is probably a futures signing anyway.

Sure, but it can't hurt to have some more depth due to injury...or suspensions.

National Anthem protests number 1 reason NFL Viewership was down last year, Guess we now have confirmation why NO NFL team will touch him Kap is done.

Quote:
National anthem protests were the top reason that NFL fans watched fewer games last season, according to a new survey released by J.D. Power.

The pollster said it asked more than 9,200 people who attended either one football, basketball or hockey game whether they tuned into fewer games and why. Twenty-six percent of those who watched fewer games last season said that national anthem protests, some of which were led by Colin Kaepernick, were the reason.

I can't say that is surprising results. The national anthem and respect for our beautiful flag is something that many of us hold in very high regard. Although I must say, I wouldn't ever not watch football because of players kneeling though. I love football too much.

I wonder if Kap still has his Pig socks? If so, does he still wear them for photo ops?
I wonder if Kap will vote in 2020...or any other vote that is his constitutional right?
I wonder if Kap has done anything else to support his protest, short of kneeling at an NFL game, in front of TV cameras? Maybe he has and I just haven't heard about it yet?

Question - Having the 6th pick this year in fantasy football. Would you choose Mike Evans or Odell Beckham over Devotee Freeman or the other way around? I feel like its harder to get a top RB but easier for WR.. But then again grabbing Freeman with 6th pick in first round is a bit reaching right?

Ah, good for him.
Did you have a link to that article? I'd be curious to read it.

Interesting! So he did is just last month, not...say...a year ago. Maybe it's spin control, maybe not.
