And all they gave up to move up 1 pick to get him was three additional draft picks.

Quote:
Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky fumbles 3 snaps in practice drill

Chicago Bears rookie quarterback Mitchell Trubisky made several impressive throws over the first three days of training camp, but he experienced growing pains, too.

The second overall pick of the 2017 NFL draft had a particularly bumpy sequence on Saturday morning, when he fumbled three snaps from under center in one drill during Chicago's first padded practice of the summer.

Alex Smith isn't a bad QB. He's just a merely adequate one. Didn't he have six different offensive coordinators/playbooks in his first six seasons? That's got to mess with your development.

Yes. If Harbaugh had been his head coach in San Francisco from day 1 I think he would have developed into a really good player. The minute Harbaugh showed up he went from below average QB to a solid starter.

Xavier Rhodes' 6-year deal includes over $42M in first 3 years. Makes him third highest paid CB (APY) behind Trumaine Johnson, Josh Norman.

So awesome to turn on NFLN and see training camp sessions. After this week, there's football every week until February.

Jaguars tackle Brandon Albert, who was acquired from the Dolphins in March and subsequently held out of OTAs and other voluntary offseason workouts in an unsuccessful quest for a new contract, has decided to retire. Albert was due $8.875 million this year and wasn't a lock to make the Jags after they drafted Cam Robinson early in the second round.

Probably not the smartest move by new Chargers coach Anthony Lynn potentially alienating the two most respected members of the team:

Quote:
Two of LaDainian Tomlinson’s former teammates are reportedly being told they’re not allowed to get out of practice to see Tomlinson enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday.

Alex Marvez of Sporting News reports that new Chargers coach Anthony Lynn told quarterback Philip Rivers and tight end Antonio Gates they need to attend the Chargers’ open training camp practice at their new home field, the StubHub Center, rather than travel to Canton.

According to the report, Gates is considering going to Canton anyway, against his coach’s orders.
Now that this is public it wouldn't be a surprise if Lynn relents and lets them miss practice. They've both been in the league long enough that they've earned the chance to see a long-time teammate enter the HOF.

I think the Giants is going to beat the Cowboys on opening night in Week 1 at Jerry's World, it's only a prediction from me.

I know it just started but reports out of the NYJ training camp are that their two new safeties (specifically Adams) are the real deal.
