Now if there was some by-law saying if you appeal, and lose, you get additional games added on, then the player would really be risking something.

He's already losing a lot in endorsements I would imagine. You have someone like Dak who is so marketable and then there is Zeke.

Trubisky may very well need some seasoning before he's ready to start. I think this is more a case of the Bears blowing all that money to get Glennon. You wouldn't talk about Mahomes sitting and learning for one season if the QB ahead of him was Cassel instead of Smith.

It usually takes a conviction these days for sponsors to start cancelling deals. Especially with a budding superstar. I suspect sponsors will hold on until until they absolutely have to bail out.
Again, if there were more damning info out there, I think we would've heard about it by now. Way too many leaks in news media these days.
All he has to do now, is stay out of trouble and the keys to the kingdom are his for the taking.

You never know. It took quite a while for the Ray Rice video to leak. He probably thought he was in the clear but then the tape got out there and his career was over.

I thought Rice did appeal, although a little different here, as he was suspended twice for the same offense. He won the appeal and was reinstated.
Of course the damage was already done from the beginning because TMZ had leaked a portion of the video. But it seems as if he still had nothing to lose when going to appeal as he was already suspended indefinitely. He lost his job because the NFL, collectively, said No Way - Too Toxic.

Tampa Bay has released the kicker they traded up to take in the 2nd round... after one season

He made 22 of 31 FGs, and 32 of 34 extra points last season. He was 1 for 2 on FGs and missed his only extra point last night.

I see it as if Mitch keeps playing like this and Glennon continues to look lost, he needs to go.

Remember when Seattle gave a ton of money to Matt Flynn, then drafted Wilson. They had no issues eating the money and going with the talent. Worked out pretty good for them.

I mean, I know it's only one game, but listening to Bears radio this week, Glennon is already more loathed then Cutler was....and that's saying something. Mitch gave the fanbase something they haven't had in years: hope.

6 games should be the baseline DV suspension, but I believe the shoddy evidence in Zeke's case should bring a lighter sentence after appeals.

I've been a vocal Zeke hater from the start, and I think he's a piece of crap.

That said, it's a dumb suspension and sets a dangerous precedent. Is there any evidence whatsoever?

6 games is extreme without any evidence... and from what I've heard this is potentially another case of a crazy chick making stuff up.

There was bruising that they can't prove didn't come from zeke, plus all the other off field behavior
