One more day to wait. It's hard to not be excited about this, despite any distractions between the owners and players.

Looking forward to seeing who my Cardinals and Patriots pick in the draft. I suspect Blaine Gabbert may fall to the Cards at #5 and the Patriots will take Cameron Jordan or Ryan Kerrigan with their first pick.

Everything I've read from the Cardinals beat writers says they won't take Gabbert. I know the national "experts" like McShay and Kiper both say the Cardinals take Gabbert but the beat writers have a ton of sources inside the Cardinals organization and I take what they say a lot more seriously than the national media. I also heard Larry Fitzgerald saying yesterday that he was confident the Cardinals wouldn't draft a quarterback. Fitz's contract expires after the season and his contract states he can't be franchised so I think the Cardinals will go with a veteran, likely Kolb or Marc Bulger, to try to keep him happy so he may stay. It could end up being a moot point anyway if Cincy takes Gabbert at #4.

I really have no idea what the Patriots are going to do. Every year they seem to do the unexpected. I could see them taking Jordan or Kerrigan, but I don't think it's out of the question that they could take a different defensive end/linebacker or possibly they could look at an offensive guard like Pouncey or Danny Watkins or an offensive tackle or possibly even Mark Ingram. The Patriots are near impossible to project and there's a decent chance they trade down.

The Oakland Coliseum, where both the Raiders and A's play, is being renamed the Overstock.com Coliseum. That name will only be temporary though as Overstock.com is changing it's name, so the stadium will become the O.co Coliseum.

I hope so too. It will make the draft more interesting.

It's absolutely astounding how popular the NFL is, wherever I go people want to talk about the draft. The popularity of football never ceases to amaze me. I really hope the Bills can steer clear of Newton tomorrow, I'm getting really worried with the rumors of Carolina second guessing taking him. I'm hoping that in about 26 hours either Von Miller or Patrick Peterson are the newest Buffalo Bill. Although I must admit I wouldn't be upset if we land Gabbert. He's definitely the cream of the crop regarding the quarterbacks. But if I was calling the shots, take defense at #3, and then in the second round take the best quarterback available, period. Maybe Locker or Mallet will fall.

I am excited for the NFL Draft tomorrow but I will not be able to watch it so I recorded it on my parents' DVR and I am going to watch the NFL Draft on Sunday on my day off so I will have to avoid the websites and TV to avoid the results!

Speaking of the draft, I am wondering if the Vikings will draft Jake Locker which I want or trade out of the first round with the Browns which I heard of a big rumor yesterday

I'm expecting the Jaguars to draft a QB for the 1st Round.

If we don't make it to the post season. Garrard and Del Rio are gone.

Well, c'mon, look at it. What do we need that bad? And we've found our gems late in the draft before. Thompson is the best talent evaluator in the league. I trust what he's going to do. Have some faith brother. If we stay healthy this year, there is no chance we won't repeat this year.

On another note, I'm surprised of all this talk about Newton going number 1. Has nobody learned anything from Vince Young. A guy who played just like Newton. Except Young didn't have the character issues that Newton has. Plus, I don't think he's worth the pick. There are better QB's in this draft.

I don't think Benny is necessarily mad that the Packers may trade their pick, it's just that he'll have waited around 5 hours (and it will be around midnight Central) and after all the wait he'll end up finding out they aren't making a pick. As a Patriots fan I can definitely understand where he's coming from.

I'm just hoping the Ravens get a pass rusher and he turns out to be productive. If Sergio Kindle and Terrence Cody finally get healthy and play that'll be a bonus. It feels like the Ravens didn't even draft last year and just got Pitta from outta nowhere.

I honestly have no idea who the Chiefs will take. They need a NT, LB and OT. There are so many choices that I don't think they can choose a bad first pick. So excited for tonight.

Cardinals, Dolphins turn players away, too
Posted by Mike Florio on April 28, 2011, 10:35 AM EDT

Though the NFL has yet to announce whether the doors will be opened or closed while the 8th Circuit considers the league’s motion to stay the order lifting the lockout pending appeal, at least three teams have turned players away.

MDS pointed out that the Redskins would not allow Lorenzo Alexander and Casey Rabach into the building. A source with knowledge of the situation tells us that the Cardinals and the Dolphins have done the same.

Per the source, tackle Levi Brown was advised in Arizona the the league is waiting for the 8th Circuit’s decision. In Miami, Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder was met with a letter posted on the door explaining the league’s decision to wait it out.

We continue to believe that the league is taking a huge risk. Judge Nelson has spoken, and the league continues to ignore her words.

I'm still praying my Panthers take anyone but Cam Newton. I'd be happy if they selected Patrick Peterson, A.J. Green, or Marcell Darius. Just please no Newton.

Hoping all the Cam Newton hype is just a smokescreen to get some team to make a trade with them for the #1 pick. Looks like none of the other teams believe the bs. Leave Jamarcus Russel 2.0 for some other team. We cant afford to waste any more draft picks.

If I'm the Pats I'd package some of those second rounders for next years first rounders.

OMG Jason is saying the Redskins are trying to jump to 2 to get a QB
