Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports reports ex-Steelers coach Bill Cowher and ex-Buccaneers coach Jon Gruden have "quietly planted seeds" that they're open to a return to coaching, specifically in Miami.
Ex-Dolphins QB and current CBS studio analyst Dan Marino has reportedly been relaying to team management that Cowher is "geared up for a return." Cowher is close with ex-Chiefs GM Carl Peterson, who has been a consultant of Dolphins owner Stephen Ross. Despite his new contract with ESPN, Gruden has reportedly told "more than a few folks" in Miami that he'll be ready for a return to the sidelines in 2012.

The Vikings have suspended CB Chris Cook without pay after he was charged with felony domestic assault Tuesday.
In a statement, the Vikings called the allegations against Cook "very disturbing and disappointing," and said they will continue to "gather information regarding the situation." Cook is accused of twice strangling his girlfriend and striking her in the head. Considering the seriousness of the allegations, Cook should be staring at a multi-week ban. His suspension leaves Cedric Griffin, Antoine Winfield (who is currently battling a neck injury) and Asher Allen as the Vikings' top three cornerbacks.

Usually I'm suspicious at first with domestic violence arrests. Someone is almost always arrested, even if unwarranted, whenever the police are called to a domestic disturbance. But from what I'm reading about this story Cook tried to strangle his girlfriend. If there's evidence to back it up his career could be in jeopardy.

Matthew Stafford said Tuesday that his ankle sprain is in a "weird spot."
"We're treating it, doing the best we can," said Stafford, "trying to get it as healthy as possible for a chance to play this week." That's not nearly as optimistic as coach Jim Schwartz's outlook on Monday. Stafford's comments taken together with a PFT report that a second opinion was sought leave us to believe he's questionable for this week's game against the Broncos. Stafford owners should have Shaun Hill at the ready just in case.

As much as I want to disagree with this pick(LOL), I see my team 0-7 after this sunday. Just hope we don't get blown out like the colts....
I never seen a team play so bad. We are playing worst than the 09 season before we drafted Bradford. I think it's a plot to either get a new stadium built or have an excuse (low attendance) to move back to Los Angeles. (Which I wouldnt mind because I'm originally from L.A.)
