Yeah, just go back and look at some game films of Watt's peak years. No defensive player in the league wrought anywhere close to the havoc he did. JJ Watt literally swung numerous games in favor of the Texans. Here's a good summary of a game from 2014 where he basically caused his team to blow out the Titans all by himself.
