Gase didn't mention him by name, but it's clear he was referring to Jay Ajayi, who managed just 23 yards on 13 carries in Thursday night's 40-0 defeat. "We’re the worst offense in football," Gase continued. "It’s hard to go lower than that." Ajayi has been a major disappointment this year, averaging just 3.4 yards per carry with no touchdowns through his first seven games. The Dolphins have nine days to get their act together before next week's Sunday night showdown against the Raiders.

Actually, it's a huge deal. A notoriously dirty player grabbing a quarterback by the throat needs to be dealt with severely. But with the recent discipline being handed out (Burfict being fined a few bucks for kicking someone in the head while Sendejo gets suspended for tackling a runner), who knows what'll happen.

$250k is good money for sure but depending on where he lives in Nor Cal it may not stretch as far as you think. I am sure he live comfortably but $250k in some parts of Nor Cal won't stretch very far.

Minimal compensation for one of the best DTs in the league, would've loved to get him if it weren't for that albatross of a contract.

We most certainly do not, we need the room we have to sign Lawrence and Martin. Not to mention eventually we will need space for #4 and #21.

This is what I've been saying but it seems they're content to let the season play out for now. Whole situation reeks of the franchise tag in 2018.
