He makes a lot of splash plays but he also throws a lot of picks. The latter is why I think he won't be in the MVP conversation, rookie or not. Probably in the race for ROY with Hunt, though.

He gotta break a big record and single handedly take his team to the playoffs to win MVP as a running back.

I don't think rookies really win it, that's why they have ROY. Ezekiel Elliott is the engine inside the car of our high-powered offense but he didn't win it either. Then again I was one of those last year calling for them to give it to our offensive line.

Yeah I mean in general it is stupid hard for anyone outside of QB to get it. Only second year guy to win it is Marino(I think) and look what he had to do to get that. I think if brady keeps it up he will get it cause of what he is doing and his age but I could be wrong.

Not really everyone makes fun of his long drive field goals. Fine he is a mediocre QB who could be benched and almost anyone could win over him(Kaepernick) He only had 15 touchdowns last year in 16 games. How many YEARS did he go without throwing a TD to a wide receiver? It was a running joke and now cause he had a couple good games I’m gonna include him in the MVP conversation?

How many rookie QBs make no plays at all? He will win rookie over hunt for same reason Dak did over Zeke.

They do, once you factor in air yards. I haven’t looked, but I’m guessing his air yards stats are fairly low as his playmakers do all the work after they get the ball.

Play to your strengths and win games

Kelce, Charles, Ware, West, in the years past made up for the lack of WR production. His past can't be held against him during his time in craphole SF and now he's playing effective ball in a conservative offensive setting with Reid. MVP awards do not look at past results, only for the current season - so yeah, his stats across the board is a major factor.
