Sounds like the Patriots are interested in recently released Martellus Bennett

I hope Detroit is gameplanning good for Cleveland. So easy to sleep on a team like them and then lose.

One would assume all teams that are not tanking like the Browns or the 49ers would game plan as long as they're still in the play-off hunt.

Definitely sounds like McAdoo has lost the Giants though, not surprising after that "effort" against the Rams.

Seeing as Allen couldn't catch a cold and Gronk is always week to week I think if they can grab him off waivers and he is healthy enough to play then it would be a good get.

One just wonders if he still has the drive to perform at the NFL level, with all the talk about retiring after this season.

Bennett couldn't catch crabs from a $10 hooker this year.

the ball would hit him in the hands then hit the ground.....even on the "easy, my 9 year old son could've caught that" passes.

I would still take him over Allen, I know Bennett has been less then stellar this year but he has at the very least had success and really was a big reason the Patriots won a super bowl last season. I would take my chances though as batman said it's up to him if he wants to play, clearly he gave up on Greenbay.

Ask him what? DeBartolo got himself into trouble with corruption, outside the NFL. And his family still has ownership of the team.

They still took his team from him. All he did was pay a bribe when someone asked he didn’t even initiate it. Now you have an owner suing the NFL. But I could be wrong I thought for sure they would take irsays team after his incident.

Wow, here I thought the NFL was bulletproof. What a mess it has become in just a year. Ratings are down due to various reasons, owners are trying to vilify the commissioner THEY put in place and are now turning on one another. Just a mess.
Good Lordy, this isn’t rocket science. Keep players in the locker room for the Anthem. Reduce the amount of flags and decrease commercials. It will take some time, but I guarantee those three things would make a huge improvement.
Or don’t, and proceed as normal. The NHL will gladly take any/all interested fans!

No do like the lions. Martha Firestone Ford Went to the players ask them to stand and in return she would donate to any and all causes they wanted. It was a beautiful compromise that helps both and should be copied by all owners.

Nah. Not for me. Anthem is for the fans, IMO. They pay for their seats, not the players. Players can lobby on their own time and dime.

So instead of stopping the kneeling and making the world a better place your answer is No? Everyone wins in this scenario. So what’s the problem?

Didn't know that, I actually like that quite a bit. Sounds pretty common sense, but nowadays common sense ain't all that common.

The problem is, not everyone will be on board with that. Sure it was dreamy for one team in one game. But what about every player, on every team indefinitely? Sorry, don’t see that happening.
So in the meanwhile keep them in the locker room for a few minutes longer. What’s the problem there?
Players can protest to their hearts desire on their own time.

You really don’t think a touchdown celebration or a sack celebration or when the camera is on them, they won’t have a way of doing some kind of protest. How about a mass knee right before kick off. What if when the game is almost over and both teams take a knee on the last play. And I just thought of that in 30 seconds give me a few weeks of sitting in the locker room and they will be bigger and more distracting.
