I think I'm to the point where watching the Bears is just something I can do without. Sick of watching Fox and his stupid coaching choices sink any chance the team has.

I've simply gotten to the point in Garrett's unbelievably mediocre 7+ year tenure where I no longer really expect them to win. It's kinda nice, means most of the emotions I used to experience during the games are gone.

The extension is 95% Jerry making stuff about him. The Brady (and Zeke) cases are 95% irate fans and NFL people making things about him. The other 5% I'd peg on the media.

I can't even name something Goodell has actually done in a legit attempt to draw attention to himself.

Everytime I see people talk about how bad Goodell is, it's misplaced anger. Like legit, every single time.

Asking for $49.5 million a year + lifetime benefits is ridiculous. Does he help the league make $? Yes but the players are the main source of income, I disagree with his position needing a pay scale. I agree with Jerry that new restrictions need to be put in place in just what the commissioner is allowed to do. Far too much unilateral power that's been unchecked for quite awhile now.

Clearly you aren’t aware how the CEO/VP level of corporate America works. For all intents and purposes Goodell is the CEO of the NFL, and he’s asking to be treated as such. He’s generated money..a lot of it. He’s made the company he works for the one of the biggest in America the World. Not to mention successfully navigating a massive lawsuit that would’ve crushed many companies. His kevlar vest is riddled with bullets. He’s done good for all 32 old geezers, why not get his due. Why not ask for the world to open up contract negotiations? Any smart person would. That way he has plenty of room to settle.

Again with the power. Any/all power he has was ok’ed by the old geezers. As I mentioned previously, Jones leading that charge.
Now Jones is acting like a jilted lover, and it’s just destroying his image. Kind of funny the story of Jones saying a racillay sensitive remark, from a few years ago at a wedding, surfaces this week. Lol! That’s called a warning shot.
