Dunno why there's so much hate for Jackson. Hard to do much when your best wideout hasn't played for most of your tenure because of drug issues that happened before you arrived. And your GM is the genius who passed on Wentz and Watson (did he draft Manziel?).

I believe they also passed 10 times on Dak Prescott...

I'll see myself out.

He came in with no HC experience yet refuses to hire an OC

He has played a role in the drafting of guys like Kessler who showed poise yet wanted another QB

He can't coach (look at the on/off benching of Kizer)

And we all knew Gordon wouldn't be playing (we're lucky to see him right now) so that is NO excuse when they have had guys like Coleman (though often injured), but also guys like Pryor, Britt, and young guys they have drafted.

Yeah they passed on Wentz, Watson, whoever else, but they should still be able to actually win a few games. Previous coaches did it..

Fair enough. With all the draft picks y'all have stockpiled, let's see what happens next season. Brown clearly wasn't the answer in terms of drafting so hopefully Jackson can get some halfway decent talent.

I just hope the Browns win ONE game this season. Really don't wanna see another winless team.

24-10 record is pretty good for a guy who shouldn't have been starting his rookie season.

Agreed - pains me to say this but lets let Detroit have that one record... lol

I just don't want to see the Browns go for ANOTHER qb. If they can get a guy like Kirk Cousins - SWEET! But drafting another guy that they won't take the time to develop and instead throw him into the wolves will just ruin another man's career. I'd prefer with the 3 1st rounders they have that they get Barkley, a WR, and another defensive playmaker.

Lol, great supporting cast went a long way in those wins.
We shall see, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see Dakota be an average/slightly above average QB going forward.
I called it last season, that he would regress with all the personnel changes, and he did.

Wait...how has he played 34 games in under two seasons? Lol!

We still don't have a #1 WR, our offensive line has been banged up and injury-prone and Zeke's been out for the last month. That would cause any QB to struggle but I would still like to see the passing numbers go up. He's gotta figure out a way to push the ball more and take more risks.

Wentz dealt with the extact same injuries, going into the Philly/Dallas game?
From what I’ve seen, Dak doesn’t read defenses well. Does he ever change plays at the line? This is why he gets overwhelmed so quickly. Maybe he spends a lot of time in the film room this offseason, but we won’t know until next season how much of an affect it had.
Lol, Dez isnt a legit #1?? Wow! Ok.

Look at Dez' numbers since 2014. Terrible across the board, even when Romo played. He lacks the route running to get open and also lacks the top end speed to win the long routes. He's still an absolute beast at the fade in the red zone but he doesn't fit Dak's skill set. Dak does need to learn to read defenses better, another reason I wish he could've sat and learned more before being thrust into the starting role. He's excellent on the run because he's outside the pocket and sees the field better.

He’s not elite. I’ve never viewed him as a top5, but definitely a top10. While his numbers don’t show it, he often demands double coverage which helps out the other receivers.
Just like Dak, Wentz was thrust into the starting role. It’s all about processing a lot of information quickly. Some QBs can do that, others can not.

Yikes, hope he makes a complete recovery, at this point football is the last thing on my mind. Proper motor function in all extremities is far more important.

Dr. Anthony Alessi, who consults with the NFL Players Association, told Michele Steele‏ of ESPN that although he hasn’t examined Shazier, he does believe that Shazier’s spinal stabilization surgery is a procedure that indicates a very serious injury.

“It’s not good,” Alessi said. “We’re not going to see him this season. He may not play football again.”

Although reports on Monday night indicated that Shazier suffered a spinal contusion, Alessi said the surgery means that’s not the case.

“This is a much more severe situation on our hands than we thought,” Alessi said.

The Steelers have not said whether Shazier has any movement in his legs, or whether they expect him to recover from his injury.

That’s some horrible shit. Damn. Praying for Shazier.

Yeah this isn't something they'd be resorting to for a simple spinal contusion, thoughts and prayers with Ryan and his family.

I agree with White, there needs to be a stricter penalty for maliciously attacking a prone victim like that.
