Lol, of course they do. Teams broadcast history, in many mediums, all over the place. It builds team culture.

I dunno man, if I were a current Iggle, I don't think the championships that were won before I was born would matter to me much. Sure it's nice but it's not like I personally achieved those. From what I've heard from players and coaches, nothing beats getting that ring yourself.

Of course actually winning one while on the team is preferred, but history isn’t erased. Got enough of that going on in this world, unfortunately.

No, I know how alumni sponsorship happens, there's a reason some schools like USC and Ohio State bring in exorbitant sums every year. Those 5 championships probably also a big reason the Cowboys are still popular despite being stagnant since Super Bowl XXX.

Not talking abut sponsorship. Just that college/Pro teams have massive fanbases and history has played a big role in establishing those fanbases.
That goes for current team players and staff.

Reminds me of my Skins and Cowboys buddies talking non-stop about Super Bowls those teams won before my friends even knew what football was. History is great and all but it doesn't really mean jack to the current teams and their players. And fans only care to look backward at past success if the current team is ass lol

Patriots and Falcons won't play again until 2021 unless they meet in the Super Bowl. Hard to be rivals when you only play every four years.
