Packers need to fire the front office and coaching staff, especially Dom Capers and Ted Thompson.

Thompson has one notable draft pick, Rodgers, and that was only because he kept dropping in the draft and landed in the Packers lap.

McCarthy is like Sean Payton now, they'd have to go 0-16 at least once before the front office would remove him.

I don't think Gruden should take it. He's got a great gig in the booth. Then again, I've never been in a situation where they're tossing buckets of money at me. Well, there was this time in Tijuana in the late 80's. But that's for a different forum...

DC Matt Patricia is considered the "Leading Candidate" to replace Caldwell in Detroit.

Gruden is beloved in Oakland isn't he? They might not have to take this major run at him to pry him away from Tampa.

Very much loved in Oakland still. Mark Davis is including a percentage of team ownership for Gruden according to ESPN. Not sure how he’d do but he definitely wouldnt be out of touch. He’s seen how the game has changed. I just don’t consider him to be a wizard

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Raiders are "preparing to pursue" Jon Gruden as their next head coach.

The Raiders are expected to make Gruden an offer that "could include an ownership stake." He'll also have the power to reshape the front office, potentially putting GM Reggie McKenzie out of a job. With the Bucs keeping Dirk Koetter, the Raiders are willing to eat the remaining three years on Jack Del Rio's deal to get Gruden back in Oakland, where he spent his first four seasons. Gruden has been putting together a staff over the last few weeks and signs continue to suggest he's serious about making a return.

I'll believe that Gruden wants to come back to coaching when it actually happens. The ESPN article also brings up some interesting roadblocks re: the ownership stake, so this wouldn't be as simple as the headlines are making it out to be.
