It's not a good plan. Cousins is extremely developed and the best bang for buck (in which Cleveland has the #1 most cap room, over $100,000). Or they can draft yet another QB (how many times now?). They don't develop quarterbacks, they toss them in and expect magical things to happen when there's no running game or receivers that can catch. Kizer should have never played, yet he did, and was quite mishandled. He may not be great but he can do alright. Build around him. Or, as you would, draft a QB that has yet one less year experience as Kizer.

Lordy way too many annoying pop ups on that site!
From what little I could read, seems like the League whining again. Sure he might have tested the fringe rules of IR, but you can bet any one of those other teams would’ve done the exact same thing given those circumstances. The guy was obviously hurt, it’s his body so he has the final say(non concussion) so who cares. So yeah....no...Rodger won’t get released.
That’s just kids crying on the playground about another kid.

I count those "losses" as Conference Championships, which logically fits as the first Tiebreaker. If we win Sunday, we're officially the more successful team.

Unfortunately keeping with how the league sorts tiebreaks, Pitt would have the higher win percentage.
Of course I’m hoping this won’t even be an issue after the game. Go Eagles!

Kirk Cousins - QB - Redskins

According to Mark Gaughan of the Buffalo News, the Bills are not expected to pursue impending free agent Kirk Cousins.

Despite his success in Washington, the Redskins are letting Cousins walk in favor of Alex Smith, who was acquired from Kansas City in a blockbuster trade earlier this week. Cousins would be an obvious fit for the Bills, who are expected to move on from Tyrod Taylor. However, Cousins is in high demand and may fall out of Buffalo's price range. Coming off their first playoff appearance in 18 years, the Bills have just over $29 million in available cap space.

I’m guessing Cousins will go to Denver, Jax or Minnesota. All three have very good defenses which is something he never really had in Washington. Money won’t be an issue since multiple teams will bid him up. Of course now he won’t have the franchise tag to use a starting point in negotiations.

All indications are the Jags are sticking with Bortles for another season. At this point they might not have a choice because his $19 million salary for 2018 is guaranteed for injury and if he's still on the roster on March 14 it becomes fully guaranteed, so if they wanted to cut him he'd have to be able to pass a physical prior to March 14 and that could be difficult since he just had surgery on his wrist.

I think Arizona could be a dark horse for Cousins. They don't have a ton of cap space right now but once Palmer officially retires and Mike Iupati and Adrian Peterson are cut they'll have over $30 million in cap space, and they could easily clear more space if needed. Signing Cousins would also make it more likely that Larry Fitzgerald returns, which might not be the case if they don't have a solid option at QB. With a solid QB the Cardinals would be a dangerous team with a good defense and the return of David Johnson.

Very logical. Just talking NFL Championship games.
You start talking Conference Championships, you’re moving the goal posts. What’s next Division then Wild Card then regular season.
Both records are very good, but Pitt, as it stands now, would have the higher percentage of winning if they make the big game. A better batting average if you will.
Not even getting into the fact Pitt has won in two different eras, where the Pats have only won in one era under the same regime(QB/HC/Owner), as that is all opinion.
Again, hoping all this talk is rendered moot by a Philly win!

No goalpost movement here. The best season a team can have is winning the Super Bowl. It naturally follows that the 2nd most successful season a team can have is winning the conference. And notice that I said Tiebreaker, as in World Championships are still the first standard, with other accomplishments only considered in the event of a tie. And yea, I'd say trips to the conference game would actually make a decent next tiebreaker in the event of tied world titles and conference titles. By World Championships I'd also include NFL Titles pre-Super Bowl, but neither team won any of those, so yeah.

False analogy. At least as regards the question "Which team is more successful?" You're counting seasons where a team doesn't even make the playoffs as having a better effect on their "successful" rating than seasons where they win the conference. Like I said: Illogical.

You don't think the Broncos, Vikings, or Bills count Super Bowl losses. Get a grip. Every team does. Every stats site does. If the pats lose, they'll be 5-5, right up there with the Colts, 2-2. I'll be glad when the season is over, or the patsies lose. Both equal sweet silence from blowhard patsie fans. Sometimes I'm embarrassed to be a New England resident.

In the actual world of sports, and stats, yes.

6 Gold Medals + 4 Silver Medals > 6 Gold Medals + 2 Silver Medals

I'm an actuary. Do not argue math and stats with me. You will lose.

Again I don’t count loses, so if the other teams and fan bases do it’s their problem not mine. As far as I know there’s no trophy for losers. And the highlited part of your comment there, all I can say is you could always move out
