You think Foles is gonna stick around as a backup? Someone is gonna give him another chance.

I see exactly what you're saying. It's my preferred way of winning, too. I've always loved smash-mouth football. We're in an age now where fans of that style of play are hoping for a 'comeback' of sorts to that style, and Dallas and Jacksonville seem to be leading the way on that front. That Super Bowl yesterday was fun to watch and all, but I like defense, too.

I just can't see this front office (Dorsey & Co.) going in that direction. They want 'their guy' at QB. Not even so much Hue's guy as their guy. For all we know, they could be looking at Hue as a lame-duck already and planning accordingly (if I were them, I would be), and I think they're going to use that 1st overall pick to get their guy and put their stamp on the franchise. Not to mention the fact that if they don't come out of this free agency period and/or draft without the QB that they're willing to ride or die with, the fan base may pretty much storm Berea with the torches and the pitchforks at that point.

I sure don't see them hitching their wagon to Kizer, that's for sure. Hue has pretty much ruined that poor kid. I'm still in disbelief that, of all the coaches Hee Haw has fired, he's keeping the guy who has the worst overall record and probably the biggest track record of unaccountability/throwing players/coaches/FO under the bus. But Hee Haw's gonna Hee Haw, I guess. I still wish the Pilot/Flying J scandal would come back to him so he'd be forced to sell. He makes "Jammies" look like a pillar of competence comparatively speaking.

He’s under contract so it’s not his choice. I’m sure Howie will be entertaining offers.

I agree with everything you said as well. I know it's not probable Cleveland drafts the way I'd like them to. I just can't see yet ANOTHER QB being drafted so high working out. I mean, even if they had went with Wentz or Watson, they'd still be lameduck QBs as they have no players to support them and no development. They rush them onto the field and expect magic. Same thing will happen next season - especially if Clueless Hue is on the sideline.

They're gonna get trade offers from whichever teams lose The Great Cousins Sweepstakes. But I'd prefer we keep him. Who knows how Carson will be next year when he's back, or if he'll go down again (hopefully not ).

I don't think there's any way that Carson Wentz or Deshaun Watson would be nearly as successful as they are now if they'd been picked by the Browns.

Hue is going to do whatever it takes to save his job, regardless of who he ruins in the process. Hee Haw sure bought whatever snake oil Hue's peddling, which is why he's probably going to push for AJ McCarron to come to the Browns and start. For all his flaws, I think Sashi Brown intentionally sabotaged that trade during the season because he felt McCarron wasn't worth a 2nd and a 3rd (I agree), and I still think that was a good move, even though it ultimately cost him his job.

Hue's not going to want to start the #1 pick/newly minted 'face of the franchise' right off the bat because they will most definitely experience the 'rookie growing pains' as Kizer did. Hue will then probably throw that poor kid under the bus just like he did with Kizer. Hell, he probably looks at Todd Haley as another potential scapegoat and will find a way to blame him too, if they don't start off the season like gangbusters.

Philly is going to have to do something, as they are over the projected cap. Howie is a pretty slick capologist, so hopefully he can work something out.

Believe it or not Philly fans didn't invent eating horse shit. Cleveland fans did it a couple years ago. I believe there were stories of championship winning fans doing this even further back. I don't get it and I've never been close to high or drunk enough to actually eat horse manure, but for some reason it's a thing.

Haven't any of them watched "Jackass Number Two"? Dave England didn't look too pleased after taking a bite with the Three Six Mafia cheering him on.
