Very true; all Hue did was out-con a con man to keep his job. Definitely no breaking there.
Bright side though: value-chart wise, they paid far less for Tyrod Taylor, Jarvis Landry and Damarious Randall than what Hue wanted to pay for A.J. McCarron. That makes me very glad that Dorsey's driving the personnel/roster train, and not the other way around. |

I know it's wishful thinking on my part, but I hope Bradley Chubb is still available when it's time for the 49ers to make their selection. Having both Solomon Thomas and Chubb at DE.....
[Show spoiler] Quinton Nelson would be great too. He could replace Tomlinson or Fusco, would be a nice upgrade to the offensive line. |

Not so sure. Bennett falls into that class of players that are lights out on the field, but can cause headaches off the field. I would’ve rather they tried to keep Curry, but his price was going to be out of their range.
For me, the jury is out on Bennett. Hope he proves me wrong and we don’t hear a peep about him short of on-the-field accolades. That is Golden Howie at his best. Everyone knew that Smith was going to be cut, so getting anything for him in a trade is great deal. Let alone a depth player at a position of need. ![]() |

That seems a little harsh given the below average career former mvp players available to choose from. That's giving a player like Terry Pendleton (MLB) way too much credit

Supah Scam was the #1 overall pick in the draft and hasn't come close to that level of play. He's a borderline serviceable QB and will probably never be a franchise QB.

![]() Free Agents usually say those things: "contender", "great teammates", blah blah, it all boils down to what the teams offer ($$$) and all of the sudden, some guys become the great QBs they wanted to play with. By the way, to the guy who dared to mention Stafford... LOL. Talk about an empty stats king. A choker. A one trick pony. |

As a Niner fan I loathe Sherman but if he came to SF and could still perform at a high level I could learn to love him. I would be highly skeptical though with him coming off an Achilles injury.
Don't miss Crabtree at all, he always thought too much of himself when he was serviceable at best. He had some great stats with Kaep as QB but had to throw him under the bus when he left. |
