The Bills are definitely moving into the top 5 and quite possibly the top 3. It's just a matter of who plays "let's make a deal" with them.

I'm more excited about this draft than any in recent memory. Not even #1 overall is a foregone conclusion this year. Anything can happen.

Beane and McDermott are making it very clear. They will be extremely aggressive in going after the QB they identify as having the highest ceiling.

I highly doubt they'll be able to pry #1 overall away from the Browns, but anywhere from #2 (NYG) on down is a very realistic proposition, especially now that they have picks 12 and 22 to build a deal with.

Which QB do you think the Bills favor the most? I'm a Browns fan and I have absolutely no idea what QB they're planning on grabbing with #1. It seems as if each one has enough strengths you can sell yourself on believing will translate to the NFL well, and enough weaknesses to talk yourself into doubting whoever they pick.

Tough to say for sure, that front office is locked up tight. But Darnold or Rosen would seem to be the likely target.

We definitely have a connection with the Giants. Gettleman and Beane have a close relationship from their days together with Carolina.

I think there's a pretty strong possibility of the beginning of the draft falling like this:

(1) CLE - whichever QB they like the best
(2) NYG - Barkley
(3) IND - Chubb
(4) BUF (trade with CLE) - whichever between Darnold or Rosen is available, or their pick of the two if CLE goes with Josh Allen (hope not, but it's possible...his accuracy issues scare me).

The price wouldn't be as high as it would to move up to #2, and you'd still get your guy.

I’m torn on Allen. Completely a boom or bust QB. High risk/reward.

Agreed. Darnold and Rosen are both "safer" choices, but Allen's upside is presumably higher than theirs.

This is a strong class of QB’s, no question about it.

I think it would be funny if every first round QB this year was a bust.

Has that ever happened with that many taken in the first round?

I think we’re going to see a couple franchise QB’s come from this class.

That's a good question. I just did a little research and the closest scenario that you're talking about of recent years would be 2011, where there was one good pick (Cam Newton at 1) and three busts (Jake Locker, Blaine Gabbert and Christian Ponder taken at 8, 10 & 12).

2014 wasn't exactly a banner QB draft, either, with Blake Bortles (3), Johnny Manziel (22) and Teddy Bridgewater (32) going in the first, and David Carr arguably being the best of the bunch while picked early in the second (36).

If you're including rounds 1 and 2, the biggest recent disaster draft for QBs was 2007. Jamarcus Russell (1) and Brady Quinn (22) were the only ones taken in the first, but in the beginning of the second round, Kevin Kolb (36), John Beck (40) and Drew Stanton (43) were all taken, none of whom exactly set the league on fire.

The best QB draft of the new millennium would have to be 2004, where Eli Manning (1), Philip Rivers (4) and Ben Roethlisberger (11) were all taken in the first, and the only bust of the bunch was J.P. Losman (22).

I guess the law of averages would be that at least one of the new QBs coming into the league is going to do well.

I remember one draft where only two QBs were taken in the first round and they were both busts -- Todd Marinovich and Dan McGwire. Then someone named Favre got drafted in the second round.

2002 -- David Carr, Joey Harrington, Patrick Ramsey were the first round QBs.

There’s a lot of QBs sure but I don’t think it’s a strong class. No one stands out and I don’t see any lasting. Maybe Baker.

Barkley #1

Barkley isn’t going #1, Biz. All signs point to either Darnold or Allen.

Baker is who I want as the NYJ QB of the future.

I’d sure like to see the Dolphins make a splash in this draft.

Maybe trade up for a QB. I think Tannehill is better than he’s given credit for, but that doesn’t mean they should just be content and not try to find that potential franchise building QB. Not a fan of Tannenbaum though. He’s sure has a lot of questionable moves on his resume.

And I'd like to see Mrs. Tannehill in a bikini.

I’m reading Adam Gase really like Baker Mayfield. I don’t think he will be there at #11, but anything can happen if the trades start flying. He’s probably better than Tannehill.
