Eagles coach Doug Pederson said Carson Wentz (ACL) will not participate in the offseason program.

Pederson said he is very encouraged by Wentz's recovery, and MMQB's Peter King reports the Eagles are "confident" he will be ready by Week 1. All of that said, the quarterback still has a long way to go in his rehab. We may not know his availability for Week 1 until late in training camp.

Figured you of all people would trust McVay.

There is speculation the Cowboys will cut Dez after the draft. Hurns is a 1B, so I'm not surprised. I do expect them to take a WR in the first 3 rounds but Dez is simply not worth $16 million.

Screw that. Let them run wild. Give them some fear on that D. Seattle rode that for a long time and won a super bowl and went to another. Not a lot of teams can claim that. Even when Denver put that swagger on the D they won. All out.

Dez Bryant - WR - Cowboys
Yahoo Sports' Jordan Schultz stated matter-of-factly that he anticipates the Cowboys will release Dez Bryant after the draft.

"The Cowboys will cut Dez Bryant, after the draft, but make no mistake -- they will cut him," Schultz tweeted Tuesday. As of two weeks ago, the Cowboys had reportedly yet to approach Bryant about taking a pay cut from the scheduled $12.5 million salary he's set to earn in 2018. But on Monday, EVP Stephen Jones said a talk with Bryant "still needs" to happen. The Cowboys recently added Allen Hurns and are apparently open to taking a receiver early in next month's draft. Bryant carries a $16.5 million cap number, and Dallas can clear $12.5 million by making him a post-June 1 cut. The 29-year-old would not struggle to find a new team.

At 19 I could see us getting a good WR to complement Witten, Williams and Hurns to elevate Prescott back to his 2016 level. Need a more polished route runner with speed. Bryant is used up, his speed is gone and he's a terrible route runner.

DALLAS, Texas --
Former TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin has been released from the Seattle Seahawks after his girlfriend publicly accused him of domestic violence here in Texas.

Boykin's girlfriend detailed the alleged assault in an interview last week in Mansfield, southwest of Dallas.

She said she refused to show him a text message on her phone.

That's when Boykin allegedly choked her and broke her jaw.

Her jaw was swollen and wired shut in the interview.

Boykin, 24, denied the allegations in a statement released Tuesday to NFL Media.

He called the allegations false and said he wasn't involved in a physical fight.

Boykin's agent Drew Pittman has also denied the claims.

Mansfield police say they are still investigating. No charges have been filed.

Boykin has had issues off the field before.

He was arrested last year in Dallas when a vehicle he was a passenger in hit several people on a sidewalk.

He left the scene but was later arrested on misdemeanor charges of public intoxication.

In 2015, Boykin was arrested for assaulting a police officer and public intoxication before the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio during his senior season.

At the time, he was TCU's quarterback. He was suspended for the bowl game.

Boykin released the following statement to WFAA:

"I understand the Seahawks decision to release me. The story that was reported casts a bad light on the organization and on me. I want to be clear that the story is false. The police have taken statements from the accuse, another witness and me. All of these statements confirm that I was not involved in the physical altercation.

"This woman has lied about me and it has cost me my job. I know guilt by association is real. This person has fabricated a story and I am suffering the consequences. I will let the legal system run its course and I know I will be vindicated."

Well I for one thought that lowering the head to spear with the helmet being legal was outrageously stupid, and am 100% behind getting rid of it. The fact that it'll be hard for NFL players to adjust is the last thing I care about.

Wentz should be good to go, and even if Foles starts, it's not a big deal. Honestly not even worried if we take an L. It's still just the first out of 16 (hopefully more) games.
