If this is true it's a surprise because it's been rumored for quite a while that the opener was going to be Vikings-Eagles.

I was just looking at CBS Sports' latest mock and they have the Browns-Bills trade down with Fitz landing at 12 to the Browns. I think they'd be ecstatic with either Ward or Fitz at that spot (they have Ward going to the Raiders at 10).

maybe they decided its too big a game for the opener since alot watch anyways so they used a team like the falcons that arent a big draw.

The Eagles/Falcons game was much closer than the Eagles/Vikings one, that might've had something to do with it. Frankly I think both rematches would've been good, and we could easily lose both despite being at home and hopefully having Carson back.

(1) at Pittsburgh
(2) Baltimore
(3) NY Jets
(4) at New Orleans
(5) at Atlanta
(6) Denver
(7) at Kansas City...

...which would mean that the highest stakes in that week 3 Thursday night game will be if they don't win that game, they could lose all of those first 6-7 games which would certainly seal Hue's doom.

Yeah, I do too, actually. I believe that the main reason Todd Haley was brought aboard was not only to take over the offense from Hue, but also to be the head coach moving forward once Hue gets the boot (right into Lake Erie, which is where he needs to do his jump anyway that he promised...two birds with one stone

Yeah, it's possible. I think Denver will be better simply by getting Case Keenum instead of having Trevor Siemien at QB. Plus, losing to the Browns would piss off Elway, and any in-game shots of a pissed-off Elway sitting in the owner's box make me happy.
