I can understand Mack and Donald holding out, they've both won defensive player of the year and are vastly underpaid entering the final year of their rookie contracts. Their teams acknowledge that and a deal will almost certainly get done before camp making them the top paid defensive players in the league but they have no incentive to risk injury before then by participating in camp. Lewan is in a similar situation as he's one of the top tackles in football after two straight Pro Bowls, but a new deal isn't as certain.

David Johnson is the interesting case. He's had one great year, one decent year, and missed an entire season due to injury. I can't see how the Cardinals can give him huge money with that resume. The only way I can see Johnson getting a new deal is if it's an incentive-laden contract with little guaranteed money. I figured he'd play out the season, hope to do well and stay healhty, and then either be an unrestricted free agent next season or get franchised.

The Rams have been ordered to pay free agent RB Reggie Bush $12.5 million in damages stemming from his 2015 torn ACL suffered at the Edward Jones Dome.

Then with the 49ers, Bush was pushed out of bounds and at the then-St. Louis Rams' home stadium and slipped on what he called a "concrete ring of death." It was an exposed surface of concrete on the sideline where Bush wiped out, his legs coming out from under him, tearing his ACL. He recorded just 12 carries in 2016 with the Bills and was out of the league last year. The injury effectively ended his career. The now-L.A. Rams will have to foot the bill.

Oakland waives Christian Hackenberg three weeks after trading for him, so they get their draft pick back and the Jets get nothing.

I wonder if he's done. Second round pick is only active for a handful of games but never sees the field. Is that the worst return on investment for a high draft pick who wasn't injured?

Bo Jackson would certainly be among the worst picks ever for the Bucs since he was the #1 overall pick but refused to sign after they screwed him over by telling him that flying in their private plane wouldn't affect his college baseball eligibility and had been cleared by the NCAA, which was a lie that caused him to become ineligible. After getting drafted in the 7th round the next year Bo ended up having a a few decent years for the Raiders before an injury ended his career, but Tampa got absolutely nothing out of the #1 overall pick.

Zack Martin got paid. I don't like giving big money to guards, but the guy is halfway to the HoF already so they had to.

Johnson is overrated, let him stay healthy for more than one game before trying make an extra buck. Tanked my fantasy season last year.

Playing in all 18 games his rookie year and all 16 games his second year isn't staying healthy for more than one game? Yes, he got hurt last year, but it wasn't something serious like a knee injury that you worry about long-term. I can totally understand both sides because even with missing almost all of 2017 Johnson has been seriously underpaid, making roughly $2.2 million in 3 seasons, but at the same time the Cardinals understandably don't want to give a lucrative long-term deal to a player who had one great year.

Should've clarified, he should prove that he can stay healthy post-injury before trying to get more money. He's really not negotiating from a position of power, but hey, that's never stopped players before.

The Buccaneers accidentally texted the wrong number when contacting a player about his pro day meeting with the team, so instead of an Ohio State player they contacted a high schooler instead. For the mistake, they sent him an autographed Mike Evans jersey.

Kellen Winslow Jr. was arrested last week on suspicion of burglary.

Now he's been arrested again and this time the charges are... 2 counts of kidnapping with intent to commit rape, 2 counts of forcible rape, 1 count of forcible sodomy, 1 count of forcible oral copulation, 2 counts of residential burglary and 1 count of indecent exposure.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the Raiders fear imminent league discipline for Martavis Bryant.

Per the Review-Journal's Michael Gehlken, Bryant's imminent discipline is believed to pertain to the NFL's substance-abuse policy. Bryant, of course, missed all of 2016 due to substance-abuse-policy violations. Gehlken confirms any further substance-abuse infraction could cost Bryant another year, or longer. With ex-broadcaster Jon Gruden replacing Reggie McKenzie at the Raiders' personnel controls, Oakland dealt the No. 79 overall pick for Bryant in late April.

Preordered the replica for just south of $12k.
Bling bling!

It’s called the 127 ring, which adds the jersey numbers of Clement(30), Burton(88) and MVP Foles(9).
And has the dog mask etched on the inside. Epic!

100% joking. I’m a fan, but not to that financial degree.
Hand to God I was seriously thinking about it though.

I've gotten replica rings for all the Patriots Super Bowls off eBay for about $30 each. It's pretty obvious they're fake but they look decent for how cheap they are.

I might look into something like that. There is a much cheaper version that looks a little different that is $650. But even for that price, I would want an exact replica.
Then again, at their current rate of Championships I might not be alive for the next one.

Yeah I still haven't bought any Superbowl swag because I'm waiting to see something that really blows me away. A replica ring might do it for me, especially for $30ish.
