Yet again I wonder why the NFL bothers with all these new tackling/hitting rules that are supposed to make the game safer, when season after season is still rife with injuries to star players or big names from the draft. If people are gonna get hurt anyway, at least let's not sacrifice the quality of the product we're getting at home. Just feels kinda pointless, but that's the Goodell Adminstration for ya. (For the record, I'm not pro helmet-to-helmet hits.)

Raising the fist is the best way for the football players to protest to get their message of social injustice across without having to kneel.

Can somebody anywhere tell me what the endgame is with the protests?? What is the goal? What are they trying to accomplish? What tangible result? I don't know how to measure social injustice, how to stop it, or how what the players are looking for?

It seem to start over police incidents with young black men but how many are there? How much of a decrease will stop the kneeling? How many were racist cops and how many were situations where they felt legitimately in danger?

Ultimately they are offending many people who view the flag as a symbol of the military and the freedom of our country and potentially losing viewers and money to what end?

When my kids complain or people complain at work I tell them I generally don't want to hear about it if you don't have or aren't working on a solution to the problem.

Here's a question for you. When a team drafts a QB in the first round, obviously they think he'll become the starter sooner or later. Many of them never live up to expectations, but how many times have teams soured the QB before he even had a chance to prove himself? For example, Dan McGwire and Jim Druckenmiller. I feel like Paxton Lynch has fallen into that category. He's been given a couple starts here and there, but the Broncos know he'll never be the QB they thought they drafted.

I present to you some of the most stupid human beings on the planet.

The Eagles sign Hackenberg for dirt cheap to kick the tires. If he becomes the third string QB or makes the practice squad, then that's a success story. If he gets cut by the end of the preseason, no skin off their back.

You think any of those scenarios would be acceptable for these nut jobs if it were Kaepernick? No one says Kaepernick deserves to be on an active NFL roster, they always say he deserves to play. And that's why I would never sign him if I already have a QB #1.

I’d honestly be surprised if the idea of signing Kaepernick even occurs to most (or maybe all) GMs/coaches/assistants/owners anymore. Media gonna media.

Lol I honestly forgot all about Kaepernick.

The people who still hold onto that - especially grown men on social media - are just incredibly desperate to present themselves as great guys and caring human beings with the hopes that it will increase their odds on fitting in with society and/or get them laid.
