G-Strings overpaid him with Eli on his last legs and no clear #2 QB ready to take over. Not to mention ODB is a speed receiver and has not yet proven he can recover from blowing out a tire.

Giants should trade for Teddy B. Hell, he's already in the city.

Giants signed WR Odell Beckham to a five-year, $95 million extension through 2023.

The deal includes $65 million guaranteed. Both the guaranteed money and Beckham's average annual value of $19 million are new records for a receiver. It's the logical, deserved outcome for a 25-year-old wideout who has 38 touchdowns through 47 NFL games. Beckham began his career with three-straight 1,300-yard seasons before last year's injury-shortened campaign. He's a special player, one capable of housing any pass for a monster score.

A lot of pundits have him as a top 3 fantasy WR already. However, I see an aging Elisha, an emerging Engram and a top 2 pick at RB. Means less passes down the field to ODB plus his bum knee. I can see about 1100 yards and 7 TDs for him this year, sounds like round 3 value.

Giants should've figured out their long-term QB situation first. Lot of guaranteed money tied up with Odell (who's certainly earned the payday so I don't begrudge him getting his money).

Another Caucasian WR to meet their yearly quota?

I will say I find it funny how a lot of Pats fans (not here, but on PFT.com) were puffing out their chests when he signed there like he was going to be their next great WR and then were trashing him as "garbage" the minute he announced his retirement.

Good. Megadeals for a skill position rarely end up with a SuperBowl ring so the gstrings won't be winning one soon.

They haven't sniffed one since 2011 so I'm not too worried.

Talk about one bad weekend in Jax. Friday night we had a shooting at a high school football game, and then the Madden shooting at downtown this past Sunday and we lose Marqise Lee which I believe won't really affect the team too much other than him being on the field as veteran WR.

Jerry Jones thinks an 18 game schedule and 2 preseason games is safer for the players and also allows the players to get paid more. What do you think?

Players are paid too much already and an 18 game schedule is stupid. Stick with 16, and decrease preseason games.

Take a week off the preseason and make the post-season one week/round longer. And let players tackle properly so we're not watching Keystone Kops who still get hurt anyway.

Pre-season games probably not going down due to revenue, there is no good solution.

Not a fan of 18 but i would be ok with a compromise of 17 if it was 8 home + 8 away + 1 neutral site game for every team.

One trade secures the backup QB job on two teams.

Brett Hundley now will back up Russell Wilson in Seattle.

DeShone Kizer now will back up Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay.

Eagles staying pretty healthy this preseason....oh wait, that’s because the bulk of the team was injured for the trophy game and still on the mend.

How do you explain Nick Foles' performances then?
