I have no issue with Bell's holdout. I think it's stupid and that he likely will never recoup what he lost, although there's no way of knowing that since we can't know what would have happened if he played, but he's not under contract so he can do what he wants.

I had no problem with Khalil Mack or Aaron Donald's holdouts, because they were grossly underpaid under a system that gave them no negotiating power when they signed their rookie deals and hadn't gotten a massive contract year.

I had a problem with Earl Thomas' holdout. He was playing under a deal that made him the highest-paid safety at the time of his contract. He had to have known that if he continued to play well he'd be underpaid by the final year of his deal, but if that was going to be an issue he should have signed a shorter deal. I don't blame the Seahawks for not wanting to pay him, because he's going to be 30 next season and his play will likely decline, but I also don't blame them for not wanting to trade him for less than a 2nd round pick since they'll likely get a 3rd round compensatory pick (albeit not until 2020) if he leaves for another team.

After Jimmy G got hurt of course my expectations for the Niners took a bit of a hit but Beathard was good - not bad, not great - in yesterdays outing vs. the Chargers. And that's how he was last year, starting 6 games, good, or adequate I would say. But the team is just so injury riddled that it'd be tough even if Jimmy G wasn't out. Hopefully the lowly Cards will be a palette cleanser this Sunday.

Dude if your life's work was breaking your neck to get to the NFL and you will probably only get to play for 5 years or less, you'd want to get paid too. Especially since playing in the NFL also has a tendency to lower your life span and quality of life after football.

Boo friggin' hoo. They made that choice. No matter what happens, these guys are all getting paid extremely handsomely. And get out of here with the 5 year BS. Earl Thomas was drafted back in 2010 and like someone else said, he signed a deal that once made him the highest paid safety.

Le'Veon was drafted in 2013 and has plenty more in him. Between injury and suspension, Pitt gave him a nice offer that he refused. Oh well!

Steelers certainly could use Le’Veon Bell. Steelers rank last in the NFL in rushing yards per game (43.3) and yards per rush (2.8) since Week 2, and their 19 rushing yards in Week 4 were their fewest in a game since 1970.

Lets see if #AirCase can remove the Chiefs from the undefeated column tonight.

I doubt it, no way the career journeyman with a noodle arm will be able to keep up with one of the best offenses in the NFL.

Here's a bit o' the trivia for ya. The Chiefs are favored tonight. They haven't been the favored team in Denver since 1990. That's near unto 30 years. Motivating potential there, but for which team?

The Broncos held what looked like a pretty commanding 23-13 lead with just over 12 minutes left, but then Patrick Mahomes happened and led an incredible comeback as Keenum simultaneously collapsed. This was as good of an on-paper matchup as Keenum is going to see this season. The Chiefs were playing the worst pass defense in the league entering Week 4, and Keenum was unable to attack it. He had one big shot to Courtland Sutton early for 42 yards, but that was about it. Keenum then missed a wide-open Demaryius Thomas with less than a minute to play on what should have been a walk-in 28-yard touchdown. Keenum has been dreadful four weeks into his Broncos career, tossing six picks to three touchdowns. He hasn't thrown for a score since Week 1 and won't be a fantasy option next week at the Jets.

Lol. I couldn't believe how long they left the camera on him. Earl Thomas started a trend.
