The Browns have already ruled Peyton Hillis (hamstring) out for Week 11.
It's the second straight Monday Hillis has been ruled out, which suggests he's nowhere near a return. Coach Pat Shurmur would only allow at his press conference that he "thinks" Hillis will play again this season. This will be the fifth consecutive game Hillis has missed, and sixth of the year. Backup Montario Hardesty (calf) has yet to be ruled out, but didn't sound close when Shurmur spoke last Wednesday. For now, consider Chris Ogbonnaya likely to make his third straight start.

Isn't he like 33? I wouldn't be too quick to give the old veteran a long contract extension. If he were younger he'd probably still be in Denver anyhow.

he's 30 and receivers start to pan out around 35 so he still has some good years

he also doesn't have a lot of wear

Hopefully the rest of the team feels the same way, the Redskins always play us tough, see 18-16 win earlier this season.

Broncos coach John Fox revealed Monday that Knowshon Moreno will need surgery to repair a torn right ACL.
He's done for the season. The reconstructive surgery will throw a real wrench into Moreno's long-term outlook. He's been a poor between-the-tackles runner as a pro, and the new Broncos' coaching staff had determined that Moreno only fit their offense as a situational third-down back. With the latest news, there's little doubt that Moreno is headed for bust status as the former No. 12 overall pick in the draft. Willis McGahee, if healthy, will continue to operate as the Broncos' primary back and perhaps even take on more passing-down work going forward. Lance Ball is the No. 2.

Did he forget he was talking about the Broncos? They had two completions and only eight attempts, more "passing-down" work doesn't equate to much.

Also have the longest active streak of not allowing a 100+ yard rusher, I believe.

ASHBURN, Va. -- Rex Grossman will remain the starting quarterback for the Washington Redskins.

Coach Mike Shanahan said Monday that Grossman will get the call again over John Beck for this week's game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Grossman was the surprise starter in Sunday's 20-9 loss to Miami, but it didn't stop Washington's losing streak.

Grossman threw two interceptions and the offense failed to score a touchdown in a 20-9 defeat. The Redskins fell to 3-6 and have lost five straight.

Grossman started the first five games and then was benched for Beck, who went 0-3 as a starter. Shanahan indicated that Beck played himself out of the job and that the coach might have switched back to Grossman sooner had Grossman not come down with pneumonia.

also no 100 yard rusher allowed in 30 game streak that is ongoing

their D has always been good, it's the coaching and offense that were all over the place until this season

Big blow to the Texans as Matt Schaub is out several weeks with a foot injury. Matt Leinart will start against the Jaguars following the upcoming bye week.

They're pretty much a running team anyway, although holes will be harder to find with Leinart behind center. Rashean Mathis is out for the season as well, huge loss for both the Jags and his chances to cash in on free agency.

I'm still not a believer of Alex Smith...until he proves to me that he can win the Super Bowl, then I'm a believer

until then, keep winning and prove me wrong Mr. Smith.

Schaub Officially Done for Season, Initial reports of a a few weeks out were not accurate

Quote:
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Matt Schaub is done for the season with a Lisfranc injury.
Matt Leinart will be the Texans' starting quarterback the rest of the way, with rookie T.J. Yates backing him up. Our suspicion is that this is a Lisfranc fracture, an injury that would require surgery and up to 8-10 months of recovery time. Schaub will finish the season with a 15:6 TD-to-INT ratio and 248-yard per-game average, essentially evolving into a game manager of a run-heavy offense. The rest of the skill players in Houston all take at least small hits, though Leinart's insertion could get Arian Foster more touches because opponents figure to be more competitive in games. Andre Johnson will return after the bye as more of a mid- to low-end WR1 than truly elite fantasy receiver play. He should still dominate targets in Houston's passing game. The offense will remain the most run-heavy in football.

Vick Breaks Ribs... 2nd Year in a row

Quote:
Michael Vick broke two ribs in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.
According to coach Andy Reid, Vick sustained the injury on the second play of the game but didn't tell coaches. He went on to have one of his worst games in recent memory, throwing two interceptions against zero touchdowns and completing just 47.0 percent of his passes. Reid said that Vick's status for practice this week and the game against the Giants is unclear, but we'd be a little surprised if he was able to go. Owners should be scurrying to add Vince Young in the meantime.
