If a team had Zeke, Kamara and Ingram as their RBs, they'd have to run the Wishbone or the Veer.

I should start loving the New Orleans Buckeyes !

Also, I know we made fun of Gruden (rightfully so) for trading away Mack, but getting 2 firsts for him was great. And now another first for Cooper? I know drafting is throwing darts blindly for the most part, but these 3 picks could all be the future of the team (and in a new city!). I like it.

In theory this sounds good but JAC just re-upped with Bortles last offseason? Are they able to get out of that deal unscathed?

Denver is about to dump Kelly and Keenum has predictably been horse doody. That'd be a good place for Carr to go but I can't see Gruden helping a division rival for anything less than a king's ransom.

If he gets another 1st for Carr, they should change the name of the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft to the 2019 Oakland Raiders Player Selection Invitational.

It didn't even dawn on me that the Saints had that many Buckeyes on the team, but yeah, I think the New Orleans Buckeyes are going to be my NFC team!

Carr to the Giants seems possible.

Mara still has his mouth on Eli's...something, so I see that as unlikely. It would definitely make ODB happy.

That's the only reason the Jags aren't the obvious choice. Miami can apparently sustain a relatively small cap hit by cutting ties with Tannehill IIRC (someone correct me if I'm wrong). The Bucs are still on Jamies' rookie deal I believe, so they probably have the most wiggle room. I just don't know if they'd rather give up their first-round pick rather than use it themselves.

Infamous Jameis probably done in Tampa Bay and Fitzmagic is a million years old so that'd be a good team for him.

No way the Jets were going to trade him to the Giants.

Redskins staff tipped officials about Cowboys long snapper moving ball, leading to penalty

Quote:
Game officials didn’t suddenly notice Dallas Cowboys long snapper L.P. Ladouceur’s habit of adjusting the ball before he snaps it, and call a controversial penalty.

The Washington Redskins tipped the officials off.

It’s a pretty fascinating little story that shows how detail-oriented NFL coaches are. According to longtime NFL reporter Ed Werder, Washington special teams coach Ben Kotwica noticed during the team’s preparation for Sunday’s game that Ladouceur moved the ball, and that could be a penalty. Werder said Kotwica told Jay Gruden, who “alerted game officials and encouraged them to watch for it.”

Then, with the Cowboys lining up for a game-tying field goal in the final minute, that little detail became a very big deal.

I know, shouldn't have come down to that penalty, though.

The Jags would take a fairly big cap hit if they released Bortles after the season. Bortles would still count $16.5 million against the Jags 2019 cap (vs $21 million if they keep him) if he was released (or $11.5 million in 2019 and $5 million in 2020 if they made it a post June 1 release). $6.5 million of that is guaranteed salary for 2019 but it has offsets so any salary Bortles earned (up to $6.5 million) would be deducted from what the Jags owe (and from his cap hit). It's not out of the question the Jags could move on from Bortles since the cap hit isn't too extreme.

Everyone has a price, Giants just needed to make a good enough offer. Seeing how Eli's been this season (not that it's all his fault, mind you), Bridgewater would've been worth a second-rounder at least.

Refs decide too many games now but that's just the way it is.

Raiders signed K Daniel Carlson.

The Raiders are moving on from Matthew McCrane as they wait on Mike Nugent (hip) to get healthy. A fifth-round rookie out of Auburn, Carlson was cut by the Vikings following a disastrous two-week stint. The Raiders are getting their tank on, and Carlos was good in the SEC, so they are taking a no-risk gamble as they play for draft position and wait on Nugent.

Reading up on this it sounds like an honest, but really stupid mistake. Kelly had apparently been at Von Miller's house nearby for a Halloween Party. Sounds like he got very drunk and wandered into someone else's house by mistake. They just found him sitting on someone's couch.

This sort of thing is fairly common but can cause huge problems, especially in stand your ground states where a homeowner can potentially shoot you, depending on the law.

Some reports are saying the theme of the Broncos Halloween party was cocaine, with people dressing up like crackheads. There are also rumors Kelly was tested for BAC and it came up zero. If that is in fact the case it kinda makes you wonder what he took that ****ed him up so bad... maybe cocaine.
