If they were able to play in Miami a few weeks ago, I'd be surprised if the Mexico City game got moved. The field would have to be in REALLY bad shape...

Was tempted to do the same because Philly was primetime, but ended up watching all day Sunday anyway lol

But I did skip MNF last night. Just wasn't interested in those teams.

Likewise.

I've been much more selective this year with which games I choose to watch.

I usually skip Sunday and Monday night games if I don't expect the games to be very interesting. After spending virtually all day Saturday and Sunday watching football I get burned out and need a break.

They showed an overhead shot of it during last night's game in an effort to hype up the game even more and it looked TERRIBLE. Not sure what they stood to gain by even showing it.

Why can’t we ship baseball and basketball games to other countries? To make things even, those countries can keep their sports. If you really want to see different cultural sports buy a satellite receiver and have a blast. Shoving culture down the worldwide throat has become tiresome.
You effing nailed it.

That's too bad, it actually was an entertaining game.

For me, football comes around once a year and I'm gonna do my best to watch as much of it as I can regardless of however disinterested in the games I am at the time. When football's not on, I am jonesing to watch it and am counting down the days until it starts back up again, so you bet your ass when it's on, I'm tuning in. Now that's not to say I don't understand the burnout factor, I had it myself a year or two ago. Some of of it had to do with watching my shitty team, but most of it was due to rule changes, what was a catch, etc. and the whole Kaepernick thing that turned into the political thing.

In the past I've watched every game that I could, but this year if the teams playing aren't interesting, then I often find myself doing something while the game is on in the background. So I've decided to not watch it, and just do some binge watching. But hey, I'm towards the end of season 8 out of 11 of Cheers

Discussions continue about whether Monday night’s Chiefs-Rams game will be played in Mexico City, LA or postponed, per sources. NFL determined to play it Monday night in Mexico City, but the field is “a mess” and might not be safe for players. It’s a significant concern.

Great do more! We don’t need to send our #1 seed overseas. Send more of the #3 & #4 seed(NBA/MLB).

That’s generally how I’ve been this year, watching everything I can because I know inevitably there’ll be a time when I’ll be desperate to watch any football. Just couldn’t muster up the enthusiasm last night

Shouldve put $$ on nyg +3.5 (the vegas guys really liked that bet) that always makes it interesting.

If I were a coach I wouldn't even let my players leave the hotel for fear of kidnapping in Mexico.

I remember an interview where Jerome Bettis said his parents only missed 2 games (home or away) his entire career and 1 was when the Steelers played in Mexico City because the NFL warned players not to have family members attend because it was too dangerous.

I get ya. I also juxtapose this against the inevitable time when they change the rules SO much that the game I used to love no longer exists to where I eventually just walk away from the game completely...and/or have kids so I'm trying to get in as much as possible.

They could show Man On Fire as the in-flight movie/cautionary tale.

Dunno why they insist on hosting a game in a third world country.

I was at the Niners-Giants game last night and even though the Niners lost, for the same reasons they have lost throughout the year (turnovers and costly penalties), I had a blast! Levi's Stadium is HUGE! So nice though and our seats were in the end zone. Will definitely be going to another game, probably next season when the roster is back at full strength and can hopefully compete in the division.
The air quality really wasn't THAT bad, I mean it's all relative. Along the coastal region, Santa Clara, things were a bit better than it was where I live in Sacramento, where the smoke is making my eyes water if I spend more than a couple minutes outside.
