Also, as previously stated, you want to stand by the guys on your roster already and, again, not lobby for someone who, again, hasn't been on the field in two years.
Beyond all of that, Niners have been down the Kaep road, parted ways. Why go back to that shallow well?
You say they are fine, but let’s look at the facts shall we?
Beathard went 0-5 taking over for Garoppolo(1-2 btw). Mullens is 1-3, whose only win was at home against an even more woeful Oakland team.
So, how exactly, is that “fine”?
Surely an Ivy educated person like Sherman can easily do the math there. So why not offer his own team up as in need of a Kaep. What would they possibly have to lose? Kaep comes in and it becomes a love fest. Cast away player reunited with old team. Hollywood is already licensing the film rights. Kaep is in the League again, all is well with the world. All the Free Kaep shirts can be put back in the closet. Hooray!
The answer is, he was just trying to make headlines by stirring the pot. Which is lame as hell.

I don’t want you to think I’m bashing the Niners as I think they are good organization. Just ripping what Sherman said because he comes across as petty and a headline monger.

Kaep relinquished any hope of ever playing in the NFL when he decided to sue all 32 owners. It’s that simple. In any other line of work, if someone applied for a job but didn’t get it and then tried to sue that company into hiring them, we’d all be laughing at the stupidity of it. Kaep’s skill or lack thereof as a QB is irrelevant at this point.

I get that. You get that. Most of society gets that.
How does Sherman not get that? Or wait, maybe he does...

Most of society doesn’t get that, unfortunately.

The guy needs to basically have his throwing arm sawed off for society to shut up about him.

It's definitely 21.

And let me tell you..... as an Uber driver on the side hustle, I have driven around many underage girls that have openly talked about their fake ID's and getting through security. And with the [lack of] clothes these girls are wearing, the bouncers don't mind too much either..

I never said guarantee anything. I said he is highly educated and anyone who has listened to him speak outside of on-field interviews and pressers would know that he is clearly very intelligent based on how he comes across. He's not just some knucklehead football player.

You are cherry picking and ignoring things pointed out in order to make your counterpoint.
If Sherman made the case to bring Kaep to the Niners that could be taken that he doesn't have faith in Beathard and Mullens. Which even if he doesn't, that's not something you air out in public.
Take records aside (I am assuming you don't follow the Niners closely?) both Beathard and Mullens have performed about as well as can be expected given the circumstances the Niners have been dealt this season. Why would they swap in someone who hasn't played in two years and probably of similar talent level? For fan and media reaction? The media is going to go with any Kaep story no matter where it lands, no reason for it to land back in SF when the organization has (AGAIN!) been down this road already. Fan reaction/approval? SF and Santa Clara are probably the most liberal left leaning areas in the country and fan support for his kneeling in the area was pretty indifferent and muted compared to the sensation it was in the media and rest of the country.
Sherman's point is that a team like the Redskins are in need of a QB (Niners are not both in regards to talent and health) with two of theirs going down within weeks of each other and have brought back guys like Sanchez and Johnson who some want to portray as less talented than Kaep, which is debatable, and at the same time signing Foster after his arrest. It really isn't hard to figure out. Also, you have to look at the context of how it was asked. He didn't call a press conference himself, get the podium and say "guys can we talk about Kaep?" The media knew they would get some sound bites from him, a thoughtful guy.
It's just crazy that we are still talking about this years later. He's never going to play in the NFL again, that ship sailed when he sued the league for collusion. He had opportunities with other teams and he passed or his stupid gf effed things up for him (comments about Ravens owner and Lewis) His new gig is that of an inarticulate social justice martyr/poster boy, which apparently he is able to live off financially. I don't even dislike the guy but ugh, enough with him.

Cody Kessler really isn't any better so Jacksonville will probably be in the mix for guys like Teddy Bridgewater next off-season.

Ryan Tannehill looks headed to free agency, don't think I'd want him but he could be okay at the right price.

Derek Carr should be on the trade market but I think the Skins will get him if they can free up enough cap. Maybe restructure Smith’s money somehow.

Actually, as it stands right now, Jacksonville has either the 8th or 9th pick. There's your QB.

Teams ahead of them don't need a QB, except the Giants. Maybe Oakland, should they trade Carr.
